I have dug out my vx7r after years of gathering dust. I always loved this radio, especially the battery life. Anyway, I am looking to update the programming with the ADMS 1G software from RT Systems.

According to the maintenance manual, there is a rechargeble Li-Ion battery just for the clock (as I see it. Not much further info) but rather thab take the radio completely apart just to take a look,
