Re: FT-60 transmitting off frequency on 70cm
I finally got around to adjusting the PLL reference frequency today. I used my SDR and while transmitting, just turned the reference frequency up until it lined up with the desired frequency. Now both

Re: FT-60 transmitting off frequency on 70cm
Hi Ryan,
If yor TX frequency is off, then the PLL reference frequency needs adjustment.
It is normal, that a frequency error is about three times higher on 70cm than on 2m.

For ham radio frequencies, the radio should be set for wide. Public safety and commercial freqs are narrow.

Hello,
I have noticed that my FT-60 transmit audio is a bit distorted/clipping when transmitting on 70cm. I have tested this with recording the receive audio on my Anytone 878, UV5R and UBCD436

Re: "AA" battery holder?
I've never purchased the cheaper models, but it's been my experience that cheap is usually worth what you pay for it. Generally, I've found cheaper things of poor workmanship that don't last as long

Re: "AA" battery holder?
I show a YAESU FBA-25 battery case on the HRO site, for $18.95, and available at all HRO stores. It's suitable for the FT-60R, plus some other Yaesu ratios

There are different p/n codes on the market available like BK-3HCBE, BK-3HCCE or BK-3HCDE even BK-3HCDE/4BE and

Re: Power issue.
Hello Arthur,
Definitely a faulty battery.
As others have said, you can pick up a replacement FNB-83 from your favourite Yaesu reseller or from most of the online sellers, Ebay, etc.
But remember,
