Re: connecting to FT-60 commander?
开云体育Jardy,Thank you for your attention and suggestions. Don't think I have seen an "alternate write method", or at least don't know how to... Device manager >Ports... >Prolific... >Properties > General "...device working properly" >Driver v3.8.31.1 I believe that is the correct cable. I have another which DM identifies only as FTDI. Do they use different drivers? They call for different available com ports. Consistent with my age tendencies (old), I am using Win7. The Miklor.com site seems like a good resource. I will try the older driver. Ray, W4BYG On 1/31/2024 13:35, JARDY DAWSON via

开云体育Clint,Thanks for your attention. Forgot what it is actually called, but it is the cable for this purpose, with the correct built-in adapter. (bought it about a year or so ago). It is not marked. Is there a way to test it, otherwise? Ray, W4BYG On 1/31/2024 10:57, Clint Bradford via

connecting to FT-60 commander?
开云体育Have been unable to finish connection via FT-60 Commander programming software.I get to a window which says hold down PTT, in doing that I see "listening" on screen, but nothing else loads or occurs after that. Any suggestions? Ray, W4BYG -- "If you want to build a strong house, I'll give you my engineer's number. If you want to build a strong life, I'll introduce you to my carpenter." Yaesu VAC-810 (VAC-370) drop in chargers
Yaesu VAC-810 drop in rapid charger for the FT-60 and similar hand held transceivers. Same as the VAC-370, just this is the commercial version part number on the outer box. The cradle and wall wart are identical to what is supplied in the VAC-370 kit.
Brand new in the box, never used.? I have a few of these available.
$35 plus shipping.

I confirm that. Thank you.

I guess Yaesu didn't want to bear the cost of another front panel and another box for the US. Ray, W4BYG On 1/21/2024 18:53, Joseph Branca via groups.io wrote:

Can't Program Yaesu FT-60 From Keyboard
开云体育Hi Clint,Yes I do. I can not program my FT-60R from the keyboard anymore. And yes, I know how to do it. I have had the radio for many years and recently tried to set up another bank for a special event. The radio will no longer accept any manual programming. I read somewhere that the memory programming either gets corrupted or the memory chip goes (programming) faulty. And that the firmware cannot be rewritten via the normal programming port the way modern Chinese radios can. Otherwise the radio works fine. I can use existing memory locations and Banks fine and VFO operation is fine. I just can't program new channels. Any assistance welcome. 73...Bob VK2ZRE On 22/01/2024 8:58 am, Clint Bradford

Re: CD-16/ VAC800 charger?
开云体育The FT-60 ships with Nickle Metal Hydride batteries.? If the new batteries are also NiMH you should be able to use the same charger.? If you’ve updated your battery to Lithium ion batteries you’ll need a new charger.? The old charger will be bad for Li-ion batteries and could cause a fire. ? 73 de AC7EW Kelly ? ? If it has been working all of those years, my suggestion is to just keep using it as you have been. :)

My radio is in the car, so I’m not sure if the battery I have that replaced the original NiCd pack is a Li-I or a NiMH. I’m thinking more likely the NiMH. I’ve been using the same original drop-in charger that came with the radio when I got it back in 2007. Should I NOT be using that charger and I should get the “correct” charger? |
