Matt, I have and am using CHIRP to read and write successfully to my FT60, including to "bands" to set up different "FT60's" but still have an issue switching bands quickly, I attribute that to my advanced age. Rudi wa2nub

That sounds like the issue I had with a cable with a Prolific (sp?) chip set.? I was actually able to get it to work some of the time, but not very often.
I bought a cable with an FTDI chp set in it, and it works every time.
