Another thing to look at is your antenna. If too much RF is being reflected back to the transmitter it might shut down to reduce the chance of damaging the radio. I would use a good quality antenna

This is my suspicion. Do you have ferrites on all the cables (power, USB, etc.)? Digital modes are more likely to shut down your setup due to RF getting into the computer, radio, or even the power
