Re: YD6016ES connected to DR4088 via S88 and DR5033

Yes,

the DR4088LN does not have a strong 5V supply.

the YD6016 needs a bit more current and a stable 5V.

which is best as close to the 4088LN as possible.

Re: YD6016ES connected to DR4088 via S88 and DR5033

Ok, will do. ?Ca you explain the logic behind that please? ?Is it because the ‘master’ is Digikeijs??

Re: YD6016ES connected to DR4088 via S88 and DR5033

Yep,

that allright ??

you might want to swap the most right 6016 with the 4088, in such a way, that 4088 is on the end of the chain

Re: YD6016ES connected to DR4088 via S88 and DR5033

Thanks Karst, is this correct? I forgot about the rules of in/out connections when daisy chaining!

Paul

Re: YD6016ES connected to DR4088 via S88 and DR5033

Nope,?

won’t work this way. You connected the cable between 4088 and 6016 on both ends to s88-IN.

you’d better make your schematic better, by rotating both YD6016ES by 180 degrees.

YD6016ES connected to DR4088 via S88 and DR5033

Hi all, ?I just wanted to check that my understanding of how to correctly connect two YD6016ES units to a DR4088LN with a DR4088/S88N with the two YD6016ES units having power provided from a DR5033 booster is correct.

?

The DR5000 is currently running Digikeijs firmware (1.5.5 from memory) ?but will be upgraded with the YD9401 chip as soon as possible.

?

I’ve attached a PDF showing my understanding of how I believe this should be accomplished.??Can anyone either confirm this please or advise what needs to change as I don’t want to risk powering the units up and going bang!?

?

Apologies in advance if I’ve broken any rules attaching a PDF.

YD6016RB-CS The solution for white z21 feedback #DR4088RB #YD6016RB

After quite some deliberation, we finally decided to bring the RBus feedback module
Design is done, prototype ordering and testing is next.
It'll be the YD6016RB-CS

My understanding is that the YD8116 can be used 'as is' for 8 motors (not solenoid) or 8 two aspect signals, with the option to select the start accessory address with the programming button (then all 8 addresses will be consecutive).
Other usages, it needs to be configured via the PC interface, hence you need a USB link to the PC, directly with YD91000, or indirectly as described earlier in this thread.
There is no programming via CVs.

Re: Configuration of #YD8116 with #yd7001 #YD8116

Is anyone else out there just as confused as I am?
What I'd really like to know is how all these products connect together because there seems to be lots of YaMoRc products to do lots of things! At least there would be except 'coming soon' is now 6 months old.

Some products have ES/IO links, others have USB and others seem to have two varieties of good old LocoNet.
There are pc based config apps as well as wi-fi configuration methods and modules, and several interfaces to connect them including daisy chaining them with cat5, as well as little boards to use Tortoise switch machines. The variety seems endless.

To make things a little harder we also have Digikeijs compatibility and even ways of converting the DR5000 to a YD7001 which doesn't exist any more because it's been split into 2 products.
I am sure it's all the work of a genius and to those with experience and familiarity with the products it's sure to be straightforward.

Has anyone put together an overview of all these products and how they can be used? (I don't mean the YaMoRc FAQs.)

Re: Configuration of #YD8116 with #yd7001 #YD8116

Understood. So you have created a ES/IO – LINK via the various devices and then can configure your YD8116 that way. But a stand-alone YD8116 requires a bit more HW to get connected.

Re: Configuration of #YD8116 with #yd7001 #YD8116

Sorry Alain, yes there was some confusion between the two forums - the other forum has now incorporated YaMoRC with the existing info around Digikeijs so it isn't lost- it is the primary connection for the time being.? This one may develop in the future, but the other one is quite active and quicker to respond..

I have a YD6016LN's which connect via a YD6901ES-LINK or my remote YD8116s I connect via CAT5 using YD6902ES-EXT. I connect my PC via USB to the YD6016 and I can see the YD8116s in the YD6016 program on the PC.?
My understanding is Clear-text configuration with YD9101-Config or YD7100-Command, configuration can be done via built-in web interface: No need for PC-software or Phone/Tablet Apps!.
- or -
when using the classic Windows PC interface, the YD9100 config-USB-stick as well as our YD6016LN can provide the configuration.
There will be others far better acquainted with the gear, in the way you have it setup, to be clearer with instructions.?
Best post on the other forum... it'll be responded to quite quickly and from a pool of very knowledgeable people.

Re: Configuration of #YD8116 with #yd7001 #YD8116

I'm also a member of both forums since I have both products.

It's more then a bit confusing to have the two forums; it almost seems as though there is a competition between the two.

There are now two different products, one of which will be slowly disappearing as Digikeijs has gone bankrupt.

Unfortunately I think that the solution is obvious. I would hope that the owners could sort this out to have one forum/product.

I'm already a member. A bit confusing to have two forums as this one still seem active (and not merged or closed)

There is no built-in USB connector on the YD8116. So I guess you assume that I have plugged-in an YD9100 module (small Configurator Stick) in it. This was my question actually.

Configuration of #YD8116 with #yd7001 #YD8116

HI All,

I've just upgraded my DR5000 with upgrade module YD9401, so now I have an YD7001.

Is there a way to configure the YD8116 (and other modules) with the YD7001, other than setting the first address with the programming button?
I have installed the Config SW package, but it only shows icons for YD7000, YD7003 and others, but no YD7001.

Will I need to acquire a YD9100 module to benefit from the full-fledge configuration interface for YD8116 (and other similar modules)?

Dimensions

Hi,
I am planning my physical connections to the layout and would like to know the dimensions of the?YD6016LN-RC LN Railcom feedback module.
According to the website it's? not going to be available for a few months yet but I hope to build at least part of the layout connection and just leave space for the module.
Thanks in advance....
