Re: VOLTAGE FOR MARKLIN Z
Correct, but use such a string in each TrackOut wire. :)
1N5402 is sufficient., it can handle 200 Volts. The 1N5408 800 Volts ;)

Re: yd6016es problem
Nope, works as designed. But....
The YD7001 can fully configure and address 1-128 inputs (8x 16-bit modules) Modules above are run in "legacy mode".
That means that they get numbered as if it were

Re: VOLTAGE FOR MARKLIN Z
Good evening.
I have found in a Marklin Z forum in Spain what Mr. Karst indicates about using diodes in antiparallel. Now my question, what diode do you recommend? If the 1N5402 or 1N5408.
In my case

Re: yd6016es problem
What if you swap Module 2 ( 4088-CS ) with Module 11 ( 6016ES-CS ) ?
Although 4.9 is out of spec by 1.9 Meters for the YD6016ES's, people report this working ok.
Otherwise only a YD6016LN-CS on pos.

Re: VOLTAGE FOR MARKLIN Z
The UP6Z wont help in this situation because the reduction in voltage needs to be after the YD6016xx and it needs at least 14v to operate.
You would end up needing a UP6Z on every output from the

pe,
It needs a minimum of 14VDC to operate correctly:
You can lower the output by inserting a couple of anti parallel Diodes between Track Out and your layout
