Re: Z21 App. Selecting correct module type for feedback.
I have answered my own question. ? What works for me is to use the feedback module type Roco 10808 CAN which has two settings. ? RA - Report Address (1-20) is the first address of each block of 8 Inputs. I - Input (1-8). Is the actual Input number of block of 8 Inputs. ? This then gives the following. ? With the first DR4088LN-CS set with a start address of 1 then the first 8 Inputs are ? Left Hand Input block terminals numbered1-8 Sensor 01 Input Terminal 1 = Roco setting RA=1 I=1 Sensor 02 Input Terminal 2 = Roco setting RA=1 I=2 Sensor 03 Input Terminal 3 = Roco setting RA=1 I=3 Sensor 04 Input Terminal 4 = Roco setting RA=1 I=4 Sensor 05 Input Terminal 5 = Roco setting RA=1 I=5 Sensor 06 Input Terminal 6 = Roco setting RA=1 I=6 Sensor 07 Input Terminal 7 = Roco setting RA=1 I=7 Sensor 08 Input Terminal 8 = Roco setting RA=1 I=8 ? Right Hand Input block terminals numbered 9-16 Sensor 09 Input Terminal 09 = Roco setting RA=2 I=1 Sensor 10 Input Terminal 10 = Roco setting RA=2 I=2 Sensor 11 Input Terminal 11 = Roco setting RA=2 I=3 Sensor 12 Input Terminal 12 = Roco setting RA=2 I=4 Sensor 13 Input Terminal 13 = Roco setting RA=2 I=5 Sensor 14 Input Terminal 14 = Roco setting RA=2 I=6 Sensor 15 Input Terminal 15 = Roco setting RA=2 I=7 Sensor 16 Input Terminal 16 = Roco setting RA=2 I=8 ? With the second DR4088 S88N-SC which has start Address of 17 because it is slaved from the first DR4088 then the first 8 Inputs. ? Left Hand Input block terminals numbered1-8 Sensor 17 Input Terminal 1 = Roco setting RA=3 I=1 Sensor 18 Input Terminal 2 = Roco setting RA=3 I=2 Sensor 19 Input Terminal 3 = Roco setting RA=3 I=3 Sensor 20 Input Terminal 4 = Roco setting RA=3 I=4 Sensor 21 Input Terminal 5 = Roco setting RA=3 I=5 Sensor 22 Input Terminal 6 = Roco setting RA=3 I=6 Sensor 23 Input Terminal 7 = Roco setting RA=3 I=7 Sensor 24 Input Terminal 8 = Roco setting RA=3 I=8 ? Right Hand Input block terminals numbered 9-16 Sensor 25 Input Terminal 09 = Roco setting RA=4 I=1 Sensor 26 Input Terminal 10 = Roco setting RA=4 I=2 Sensor 27 Input Terminal 11 = Roco setting RA=4 I=3 Sensor 28 Input Terminal 12 = Roco setting RA=4 I=4 Sensor 29 Input Terminal 13 = Roco setting RA=4 I=5 Sensor 30 Input Terminal 14 = Roco setting RA=4 I=6 Sensor 31 Input Terminal 15 = Roco setting RA=4 I=7 Sensor 32 Input Terminal 16 = Roco setting RA=4 I=8 ? If you then take this on to the next Feedback module whose first Input is sensor 33 then: ? Left Hand Input block terminals numbered1-8 Sensor 33 Input Terminal 1 = Roco setting RA=5 I=1 ? Right Hand Input block terminals numbered 9-16 Sensor 40 Input Terminal 09 = Roco setting RA=5 I=1 ? The next Feedback module whose first Input is sensor 49 then: ? Left Hand Input block terminals numbered1-8 Sensor 49 Input Terminal 1 = Roco setting RA=7 I=1 ? Right Hand Input block terminals numbered 9-16 Sensor 56 Input Terminal 09 = Roco setting RA=8 I=1 ? Etc. ? This does mean however that the top limit of sensors that the Z21 App in this configuration will display is 160 but only if you start numbering your DR4088 with address 1 ? The first Roco setting is First Sensor (1) Input Terminal 1 = Roco setting RA=1 I=1 ? Should you start with your DR4088 at address 33 then the first Roco setting is First Sensor (1) Input Terminal 1 = Roco setting RA=5 I=1 So the total number of sensors that the Z21 App will display will be 136 ? Now I am not saying that this is the only or correct solution but it will work for me. ? Also note that this only applies to the new version of the Z21 App as the original version of the App does not have the Roco 10808 CAN type listed. |
Z21 App. Selecting correct module type for feedback.
I have a DR5000 connected to DR4088LN-CS Box loconet feedback module with add on S88 feedback module giving 32 Loconet sensors. ? They all report correctly when connected to the DR5000 cofiguration app and by the RocRail with address starting at 33 +32 (ending at 65) ? When using the Z21 app how do I set up the sensor track items? ? There is the selection for 5 different devices. ? Roco 10787 R-BUS Blucher GBM16XL/XN Loconet Uhlenbrock 63320 Loconet Uhulenbrock Lissy Loconet Roco 10808 CAN ? The question is which is the correct feedback type to use? ? If I reset the DR4088LN-CS start address to 1 then I can read the first 20 inputs on the Roco and Ulenbrock types on the z21 app but nothing above that. ? So how do I get the z21 app to display occupied tracks with loconet addresses of 33 up? ? Many thanks. ? Colin ? ? |
Re: DR4018
开云体育Well I’ve no idea if it’ll take it as the signal leds aren’t on, this is why I’m asking for help as it doesn’t mention that in the manual. I have the address on the layout on the z21 app ready to go.Regards Andy On 23 Jun 2019, at 21:35, James <James@...> wrote:

Re: DR4018
To be fair I always set the start address of the dr4018 before I ever set cv47 it always works This way for me.? Re: New file uploaded to [email protected]
The next document will explain what you want.?
The first Document was only suppose to clean up the grammar, translation and errors, not to change or add content. The next document will be in more detail and will be called "Advanced". It will show how to use JMRI Decoder Pro to make changes easier and faster. I have 2 examples, both show how to split the DR4018 into 2 and 3 separate functions. I have made the first draft of this document and sent it to Ryan for feedback last night. if anyone else wants to help with document content and checking let me know. Also if you have any specific setups that will help make it better. Would like to have a few users with input. Dennis |

Thanks for the sight of the preliminary version. The section which in my opinion needs more explanation is paras 6 and 7 i.e. how to reprogram the 4018 outputs to operate different types of accessories. I understand how to program with presets, and have successfully done so. But how does one achieve the first para 6 example of 6 different presets, for example? Maybe a couple of programming examples with explanatory values? many thanks Chris On 27/05/2019 16:48, [email protected] Notification wrote:
