Hi Tony? Stuart? Chris
Thank you .
So with Rocrail iam using the Mini Mac?
Good to get some help
With this what do I need to detect and operation of
Signals to show on Rocrail the state has changed from
Green to red?

Re: DR5000

I use Rocrail with my DR5000 using the LAN connection. There appear to be nine users of NCE equipment with Rocrail. Rocrail allows the use of more than one command station so you ought to be able to use both the NCE and a DR5000 at the same time. I do use my DR5000 (and DR5033) to power one section of my layout and an ancient Zimo MX1EC with accessories for the other section. Apart from polarity autoreversers at the interface between power districts, I have no problems sending a train from the DR5000 powered section to the Zimo section.

I do find Rocrail wiki documentation, while extensive, not the easiest of reads (at least in the English version).

Re: DR5000

Hi Andrew,

Welcome, I'm also a convert to the DR5000 from the Gaugemaster Prodigy 2.? I've made the total switch for locos and accessories and it was pretty painless.? I was also originally using the Megapoints solution for points, but have since moved to MTB motors as I was finding the DCC Concepts motors a little noisy.

I made the move as I was looking to introduce DCC automation and was looking to invest in iTrain.? In your case, I'm not sure the NCE would be able to interface to Rocrail without some fairly hefty JMRI integration, I find the DR5000 into iTrain pretty seamless.

Hope that helps.

As it is out of date.
I would Like to get some opinion first if it is worth getting the DR5000
I have the NCE PRO 5 also said I can use this for running locos

Hi Andrew

Welcome to the group.
I'm afraid I do not know anything about NCE, but you might find it better to go over to the DR5000 completely. You can use the Z21 app from your mobiles with it.

There are some documents on the group site (see footer).

Ok so it¡¯s not a 50/60 cycle hum. Could be a hum ?induced by the DCC signal but I don¡¯t think that¡¯s likely. If you have other DR4018¡¯s and there ok I have a chat with you supplier.

Hi all,

Upon turning on track power from my DR5000, all 3 turnout motors are making a very noticeable buzzing noise. This is happening before I plug in a separate 12v 3a power supply to the DR4018. The DR4018 is set to preset 0 as it came from the factory. I have track power wires feeding the signal input on the DR4018. It seems as though the power from the signal input is somehow energizing the turnout motors. I have other Kato unitrack turnouts controlled by Digitrax DS64's that do not make any type of sound unless they are being thrown. Any thoughts as to what may be going on ? Thanks in advance for any help.

This looks useful - I wonder if it possible to have an Excel file of the blank worksheet at the end of the document, or even a Word document of the table? presently as a PDF it isn't very useable :(
