Hi Chris,Hi Andy Just to report back that your advice has proved successful! The first PL11 was moved just enough to ease the control bar and it now works flawlessly. Investigation of the second PL11 showed something different - miswiring. Despite me knowing that the green wire is common, I had miswired which caused non-operation in one direction. So many thanks for your help. Meanwhile regarding Iain's suggestion - yes, I did in fact have this problem when I first installed the DR4018. It took only one command to drop the input volts below 9v, and then didn't recover. I was using a power distribution board by Blocksignalling - PS4 - which is a very good way of feeding accessories - but each output is limited to 1 amp, not nearly enough for a 4018. How does everyone else feed all the accessories - other than using the track? What's the favourite way of providing a number of 12v feeds from one supply? Thanks for your comments. -- Chris |

开云体育Thanks for that, Andy. I have stuck them down but will reposition them. It helps to know they can be driven by the 4018s. Re: New file uploaded to [email protected]
Chris, your correct, I have the manual file now from Digikeijs and starting to correct and update the manual.? If anyone knows technical errors that need to be fixed let me know.
I am correcting some of the translations and omission right now. Some should come along and help you with the setup for you Peco Plii's Dennis |
Re: New file uploaded to [email protected]
开云体育Also depends on the power supply you are using - if you are having issues might be worth putting a more powerful separate power supply into DR4018 rather than using DCC Bus

Re: New file uploaded to [email protected]
Reading this topic and the implication that you need to read both a new and old data sheets for the DR4018 is this also true for other products?
If so, where does one find older datasheets on the website? Colin |

开云体育There may a problem then as the one on the Digikeijs website (modified 08/04/2019 but dated 23/12/18) has more information contained within it that the one you have uploaded. ? There is some of the programming steps not found in the current version. Also the note about when you program the DR4018 you might have to reprogram the ID for the DR4018 again. I have seen this problem and wondered if it was something I was doing, now know it might have to be done again. |

Re: DR5000 & 6pin decoders
开云体育Thanks James,?it was that, strange as I’d only ran a 101 with that as it’s address the day before and the last short loco address was blank when I opened it tonight, but 108 now running. Cheers Andy On 1 Apr 2019, at 12:26, James@... wrote:

Re: DR5000 which protocol?
Hi Colin, I don't know about your other questions, but BDL168 does not support Railcom (BDL168 supports transponding which is different). If you want Railcom you will need Digikeijs DR5088RC best Konrad On Mon, Apr 1, 2019 at 10:06 AM Colin Bennett via Groups.Io <bms.systems=[email protected]> wrote:

DR5000 which protocol?
I am currently using a Sprog 3 to control Locos and turnouts (CML DAC20) via JMRI. ? If I wish to change my controller to a DR5000 and upgrade to block detection later Digitrax BDL168 I would like to know the following: ? 1)???? As the CML DAC20 controls the turnout using track command S1 (Address 45), S2 (Address 46) Thrown/Closed etc. Which connection protocol do I use to send the commands via the Track connection to the CML DAC20 accessory decoder? I am assuming it would be COM(x) Xpressnet protocol. Note: I do not want to use LocoNet at this time. ? 2)???? At a later stage if adding detection using non Digikeijs products does the DR5000 provide LocoNet termination for the BD168 and CML DAC20 plus Railcom RailSync signal for the BDL168? ? Colin |
