Re: DR5033 Digiboost
Well, I do see a bit more than "just" a blown 7805. Further, in Europe ( maybe because we have 230VAC on our outlets ?? ) an number of those old PSU's caused a) fire ? and b) sponteaneously

Re: DR5033 Digiboost
When I started using the Digikeijs Products around 2017, the Power Supply's all had the voltage selector switch, then Digikeijs changed to fixed voltage power supply's and only had the 16 & 18 volt

Re: DR5033 Digiboost
Did Digikeijs change the power supply over the years? I don't see any variable voltage capabilities on the ones I have. The DR5033 and DR5000 I bought all came with MeanWell GST60A15-P1J power

Re: DR5033 Digiboost
Correction: Since the LM7805 also has a crater, it has been massive overvoltage from the powersupply. This typically happens with the Digikeijs Adjustable Powerbricks.... known problem.

This was a DR 5033 it¡¯s been running on a large layout with five other DR5033s and a DR5000 for 3 years. Any ideas as to the cause of its demise would be appreciated. thanks George
