During one of the lockdowns I built a small n scale railway. Peco shut down for the period of the lockdown so I used Kato track and the DR4018 which drove the point motors with no problem. After some time I rebuilt the layout using Peco track and turnouts, I have some constrains with space and need to hide the layout away after use so bought Peco PL-11 surface mounted motors on the assumption they would be similar to the Kato equivalents. Having tested the first installed point motor I now know they don't work as the DR4018 output voltage is too low. (Yes I know I should have checked first).
I need either to replace the motors with a similar surface mounted motor, or find a compatible switch controller. It looks like the YD8008 is a suitable replacement but before I get my card out can anyone confirm it will work with the PL-11 motors?
Thanks
Robin
