?I was wondering the same thing.? Mine has had a few bits of dust under the display cover since shortly after I purchased it and I have been wondering if the clear cover?

I am thinking that maybe it needs some sort of rubber gasket.? It might be possible to 3D print a very thin gasket out of TPU filament (very flexible). Maybe I will look into this as a fall project.?

Hi Bruno, ? Wow, your diligence paid off. What a great thread that I am archiving in case I ever have to FW upgrade. Currently, I am happy with the pre-uploaded 3.0 version. ? I worked in product development for a number of security hardware manufacturers supporting DVRs and IP Cameras that required periodic FW upgrades. During that discovery phase of flashing from manual to automatic means, we learned a lot about the process and inadvertently “bricked” hundreds of devices. ? Without this kind of info the chances of bricking a unit is high. Thanks again for sharing and GL with your ventures. ? Best 73, Lou N2JPR ? Sent from for Windows ?

Hello,
at the end I was? able to resurrect my X5105 !? I? explain you how

As described in previous post trying to update the firmware my
X5105 remained in "waiting mode" after having erased completely
the firmware.
I had bought from Xiegu.eu? the "original" blu plastic cable, but

Xiegu 5105 batteries available
Connect Systems now has a limited stock of batteries, $79 each?

There are 3 wires, red, white and black, going to a mini molex plug.

Hi Tom,
Although it’s wrapped in really thick plastic, it appears to be constructed of wafers, not individual cells.
