Keep in mind that the VARA modem is adaptive. It will start out at a high rate and the sending station will transmit a five second data burst, the receiving station will then transmit a short ACK

Check to make sure that Left or Both are selected for the output device channel (not right).? The SignaLink, while including a stereo CODEC, does not process "right" channel transmit audio. Kevin

Forgive me, folks, I'm old and didn't the message part about Vara FM. I find that the USB audio codec needs to be Mic (Record)> 2 on the sound menu setting. Speaker (Playback) set at 100%? 73 later

I found that by using VARA Narrow, the radio will pass around 9 to 11,000? on transmit and about 7,000 on receive.? So I also tried my other radio on Narrow and found that? some times it is faster
