Re: Winlink Log in Problem
Norm it would be better to post this in the Winlink programs group where the Winlink Development Team can assist you with Winlink password issues. Even though some of the WDT are here in the VARA modem forum, they could better assist you over there.

Winlink Log in Problem
All of a sudden when I open up winlink express i get a message that states "The password you specified for K7NWF on the site Properties screen does not match what the Winlink sytem expects .
?
I have been using the system for several weeks untill today. I requested my password be sent to my recovery email address, which they did, and the password i use is the same one that they show, however it states it's incorrect.
?
Any help would be appreciated!

Re: VARA HF Settings? and HIGH SWR ISSUE
Harley;

Additionally, you need to have your digirig CAT serial port address ('COM nn') selected in the "Serial Port to Use" drop-down field. The default 9600 "Baud" value will probably work OK, but I've found some online reports that 19,200 bps or 38.400 bps are commonly used with this radio.

I believe you'll need to have rig-control working in order to have the M803 properly set the antenna tuner to the band / frequency you're working on.
?
To enable rig control, set the value in the "Icom Address" field to the the CI-V address of your radio... the default value for the M803 is '20'.?
?
If you have rig-control working, but still don't see the M803 antenna tuner activating, see if either of the other choices in the "Antenna Selection" drop-down (Internal 1, Internal 2) make a difference.
?
You may also need to choose the "USB Digital" radio-button instead of the "USB" radio-button, so that the radio's receive filter bandwidth is at the widest setting.

Re: VARA HF Settings? and HIGH SWR ISSUE
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýYour high SWR is most likely a result of your tuner being set to another frequency or not being activated. Many tuners default to the last frequency that they were tuned to and you might be trying to transmit on another frequency that the tuner is not set for. That has happened to me several times ¨C and it results in a high SWR. Try retuning to the frequency that you are going to transmit on before you use VARA HF. I have to do that every time I change frequency to a new VARA RMS. 73 Peter AA6EA ? From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Harley KK7HMS via groups.io ? There is a group?/g/N3FJPSoftwareUsers that may be able to help. I know it worked for me on Windows 10. Re: VarAC and logging
You might try the programs API settings. I use the program but have not tried it yet with varac. Later today I will give it a try and let you know how it goes. Greg? VarAC and logging
Good morning. I am new to the group. Just started using VarAC and have a question. I normally use N3FJP logging software, however, I cannot get it to work with VarAC.?
Are there any users out there that use N3FJP with VarAC and could help with me set up settings. I am missing an entry somewhere, not sure where to look. Thanks in advance for your help. de K7NWF? |
I've used VarAC on HF so I'm familiar with the ops.
I'm working with a local group to use VarAC FM for EmComm support.? This is my first time setting up VarAC for FM/VHF.? I'm familiar with using both VARA (HF) and VARA FM with Winlink.
?
Question I have has to do with VARA vs. VARA FM setups in VarAC; including use of two different radios - in my case IC-7610/9700.
I can go into setup and make the linking mods for the appropriate VARA (HF or FM) and the CAT configs. I'm OK with that.? But it seems like I have to make that change any time I want to change from HF to VHF FM.
Is there a way to save configurations (like in WSJT-X) so I can change the mode from HF <-> FM easily?
?
Thanks,
