Re: Is there a way to add a tune command in VARA
I think he wants the antenna tuner to tune the antenna, not tune the drive audio. btw there is a tune button for audio drive in both VARA FM and VARA HF.

Re: Alinco DR-135 Mk III Spurs on key up issue
I have the optional TNC, however removed it years ago, as it is sub par as compared to a 'real' TNC. I don't recall whether the DB9 was plugged directly into the motherboard. I'll have to open it and

Re: Alinco DR-135 Mk III Spurs on key up issue

motherboard.

Re: Vara FM and Alinco DR-B185
VARA and most modern protocols use a variety of modulation and coding
schemes based on the current average S:N ratio. The math and
coding/decoding are complex but the concept is simple: The higher

Re: Vara HF Winlink with a QDX
Thanks for your comments. I plan to build in a near future a QMX+ and when its firmware will implement CESSB I will be able to use Vara HF Winlink with it. This closes this thread.

Re: VARA FM Winlink no connect - Stumped!
Well, now I feel like a complete idiot again! I got the new sound card in. It is called an AIOB (all-in-one-board) and it's actually like the AIOC, but has separate pads for the various I/O so it is

Re: Vara HF Winlink with a QDX
I just looked up the exact specifications for VARA HF and there are multiple carriers even with FSK.
The QDX can only transmit one tone or frequency at a time.
