I appreciate that it can't be done everywhere, just where possible could be
very helpfull.

For instance the local BBS and packet group run the 70cm and 23cm voice
repeaters, so it *may* be possible, I guess, to set something up at one or
other of those spots.
However, I can almost hear the Treasurer asking where the funds are going to
come from HI!
It's worth asking anyway, as many groups have linking systems on 70cm/23cm
and those sites may be able to support a WIDE digipeater......
