2nd Seminole War SP 2 game
The pandemic has put my face-to-face gaming on hold for over a year and I have missed multi player games.? I particularly wanted to do a 2nd Seminole War game, using some minis that haven't made it to the table, so went looking for a straight forward scenario that had Marines and Navy troops.? I decided on the January 26th, 1837,? the battle of Hatchee-Lustee Creek.??The army & marines found a large Seminole village with many cattle on Hatchee-Lustee Creek. Today this is called Reedy Creek, and is near what is now Disney World.??Much as happened historically, the Seminoles lacked the manpower and ammo to hold off the government forces.? After fierce fighting the Americans routed the Seminoles from the area, and those who were not captured disappeared in the cypress. It was a very bad defeat for the Seminoles in central Florida. A large number of cattle and a hundred horses were captured from the Seminoles, along with the loss of all their camp goods, clothing, blankets, and cooking pots..

开云体育Hmmm..?? I’m pretty sure I remember a Duncan Bolt from Oz. Canberra perhaps? ? If CGS have started playing Lardie rules, that’s very good news if I go back. ? I think I have seen those Spanish, I might have to try printing some up on the Photon S. My BT7 was an object from Sketchup, converted then printed on the Anycubic Photon S. I have found that with other stuff bought from CGTrader.? Some things look like they were designed for Computer Animation rather than printing.? This was mainly some planes for a Wings of Glory Pacific War project. The canopies were paper thin and would not print. Underneath them was a hole in the fuselage.? Flaps, stabiliser and rudder were not connected to the main body. Presumably this was so they could?be animated. Maybe the canopy was designed to slide back and show the player ? BT-7 if I remember correctly steered by twisting the tracks. It also ran trackless with power to rear road wheel(s) and steering by 2 forward road wheels. CHIEFTAIN on WoT YouTube channel has review of BT-7 you should look up. CHIEFTAIN is 6'4" tall which should give you an idea of the tank's size. All the models I have had -1/285, 1/100, 1/50- are large. By size it is a medium comparable to a Valentine and Matilda II in size. |

Totenonntag Pint-Sized Campaign
Trying to ramp up to introduce the gang to desert warfare.? Have one question about?Totenonntag's special rules, though.? The British player starts out as Green, but can spend Support Points to upgrade teams and squads to Regular.? So ... how many commad dice do the British roll at the start of a phase?? 4 for being Green, or 5 for being partially Regular?

The BT was classifed as a light tank, and it could drive on the wheels with no tracks, as far as I am aware it was very rarely done though. The twin drive option was comon on Chritie suspensions, but the British iterations were designed without it. The idea behind it was for stratigic moves, but railways were better for that, of course you could use it as a multi-wheel armoured car.??

开云体育Describing the Matilda II as a ‘Light Tank’ would have confused any one listening in on the radio net.. as they ran into a regiment of light tanks… ? Incidentally, one of the images on the BT7 Wikipedia page shows a BT7 with the tracks removed and stowed, and either the front road-wheels are damaged, or they have a steering mechanism? So the BT series, T 26 and Matilda received via lease-lend were all technically light tanks. The US M-3 probably drove the politburo mad.

开云体育A ‘Cavalry’ tank, but a big one. ? The print had some issues.. ?the original object had too many very thin components. (And some supports are yet to be removed..) ?

I have two BT7's in 1/56 scale - measuring from front to rear - mudguard to mudguard - the warlord resin model is 103mm and the 3D printed (from Paint and Glue I think) is 100mm. Set beside a T34 it is almost as long, so the Wikipedia length may be correct. But I know what you mean that it's aspect ratio makes you think it should be smaller..... Cheers Ken

For context, I want to print a 3d model of the BT7, I have an object file, but no scale. I have tried scaling it to the Wikipedia dimensions, of just over 5.5 metres long, but it looks too large, and I am not sure where the Wikipedia dimensions are taken from.. front of track, front of hull etc. ?
