Mike,
Do you have TableTopSimulator(TTS) It's available on steam , There is a mod on it for CoC an Bolt Action.
The game/s can be saved if life interrupts.
Oh yes, They have a discord channel for it, but of late, its gone quiet.
Regards
Phil

Cell phones allows us to provide pictures of the game in progress so if you need an opponent to issue orders you can provide a picture of the table, forces, and arrange for a friend ro direct the opposing forces. Hi Angelo.
if you haven’t found them yet there are a couple of files with tips on playing CDS solo on page 5 of the files section of this group. Came across them by accident since they are not in the CDS folder. Haven’t tried them as I’m still collecting figures. /g/TooFatLardies/files/?o=80&ord=dirname&d=asc? john |

And as I think I mentioned earlier, if you want someone else to select support options, happy to do so. Just ask here, or on my hotmail address. I have (I think) all or at least most of the supplements so, you can select support list choices without knowing
what your opponent (you) have selected.. From: [email protected] <[email protected]> on behalf of Klaus-Dieter Fritsch via Groups.Io <klaus.fritsch@...>

Hi I play Big Coc solo and enjoy this very much. To prevent analysis paralysis in god-like coordination, I use chips to select which platoon gets activated next. Placing command dice (and activation markers in case od units activated by senior leaders) next
to activated units or leaders allows me to leave the table at any time and come back later. Klaus

Re: Solo Games
I find IABSM plays very well solo if playing both sides as the cards drawn only gives you (usually) one unit to activate next – and thus helps not having a score of options x2 if you're playing both sides Al On Sun, 22 Mar 2020 at 12:10, John via Groups.Io <johnanddave45=[email protected]> wrote:

Re: Solo Games
开云体育I have played SP2 solo a few times, since the activation is
random the only thing to worry about is being able to play the
game in front of you, otherwise it's easy to make one side win
really easily. Unfortunately I don't have two sides in my
collection yet so I can't do it on the table at the moment. Tabletop Simulator, which has some scenarios available via the steam workshop, is an excellent stand-in, it allows you to play in the same way you would on the tabletop at least. An absolute bargain if it goes on sale so worth having a look. Cheers, On 22/03/2020 04:00, Mike Leese wrote:

Re: Solo Games
Get the Kriegspiel scenarios by Bill Leeson from TFL. Playable either solo or against an opponent. IABSM for sure and probably CDS (have played but not tried solo) are both good solo. Others can be done solo if best decisions are made for both sides. If you have Osprey's "Men Be King" rules see the Mr Babbage solo ideas to adapt. Cheers and enjoy some solo games On Sat, Mar 21, 2020 at 10:00 PM Mike Leese <mike.leese@...> wrote:

Re: Campaigns After Gettysburg
Mine Run was pre Grant, November- December 1863. There are a couple books on it, I remember one from the Virginia Historical Commission. It is on of the great what ifs. Also do not forget the period from July 4th to the 14th when Lee was running back to old Virginia. A lot of fodder for SP II. On Thu, Mar 19, 2020 at 11:17 PM BYRON CHAMPLIN <chamby@...> wrote:

开云体育I’m assuming that when you say that the war in the East was uneventful after Gettysburg you mean in the days or weeks immediately following? ?Once Grant was in overall command of Union armies he launched a campaign in 1864 that saw continuous fighting from the Battle of the Wilderness, through the battles of the Overland Campaign and Petersburg, to Five Forks and Lee’s surrender. Plus there was Sheridan’s campaign in the Shenandoah Valley that broke the back of Jubal Early’s army.?On Mar 19, 2020, at 7:43 PM, Tom Downs <tdowns3@...> wrote:

Re: KMH 'Coffee & Danish' at '...Lard Enough'
Funny you should mention War of 1812! I will be running the Battle of Lake Erie using the To Covet Glory supplement tomorrow at Cold Wars. Playtesting has shown the heavy carronades to be devestating and the small schooners like the gunboats to be fragile.
You game sounded like great fun and I like your ideas to simplify certain aspects for beginners. I have found that the rules concerned changing speed are worth simplifying.? |
