GPS question (TT4BT and APRSdroid)
Hi Everyone...I have TT4 with the BT...when connecting to my Android phone and running APRSDROID...Smart Beaon on (won't tx)...I have to manually enter gps coordinates for app to tx...I have GPS5

Rick, There is no reset switch on the TT4 board, There are several versions of the TT4, built, kit, old, etc. but in general, the reset function is available on pin 4 or pin 9 of the Atmega chip.? (

I also just saw you asked on tt4, I don¡¯t see one there off hand. ?To use the chips mentioned here on TT4 you need to adapt via the serial splitting (I think, I haven¡¯t hacked on the tt4 much,

Rick, on a mtt4b its to the right of the two stand off LED, under the large 40pin ATMEGA- DIP to the left of the little DIP max232 chip. if that helps? Sw1 black button surrounded by silver retention,

while I am pondering connecting a ESP32 to an AT128 .. I wonder aloud if anyone has ever tried to compile this projects source on the ESP32 for a even bigger upgrade aka the TT5 ? kelly

As I am sitting here pondering some ideas. and the stack of chips. I couldn't help to ponder .. the ESP32-WROOM chip will UART as well.. The cost is reasonably similar to a "HC-06" and can do, BT 4.1

Morning Allen, yup. Mainly, compatibility and stability, it¡¯s a better rf chip (rtltek), compatibility with new standards, the Hc05 was gen1, SPP is huge enhancement for connectivity with anything.

The key to #3 is that you MUST reset the processor without removing power to the Bluetooth module. Allen's comment of "The reset button only resets the TT4 chip, it will have no effect on the BT
