Rob, Good morning. You are correct that the MTT4BT has a reset button for the TT4 chip on the board. There is no access hole through the case, but anyone who feels the need is welcome to drill one!

I found my TT4BT module and there are two LEDs, one labelled "ACT" (Active?) and one labelled "LNK" (Link?). One's yellow the other is green. I suppose "LNK" means "Paired AND Connected" and "ACT"

I poked at the HC05 for a little with some probes, also remembered a note I read on MAX232 sticky logic sometimes. Reset jumpers to 2.5 jack, power down. grounded my self. reset the jumpers and booted
