Re: MicroTrak-MTT4B-mods? GitHub
Thanks Allen, fun it can be done! (added some details!) its cold here but I did run the RTG for 24 hours no issues, stable and happy, its on the bench waiting a sensor install :) The MTT4B I haven't

Re: MicroTrak-MTT4B-mods? GitHub
Kelly, The amp normally used in the high power MTT4BT-40 is the Mitsubishi RA30H1317M. It has various versions, including the ...M-101 ( Metal case and ROHS certified) There is a tiny set of contacts

Re: MicroTrak-MTT4B-mods? GitHub
Kelly,? Good work! Just a couple of things I noticed: First, the little jack is just 2.5mm, not 2.55mm..No one without a micrometer is likely to be offended. This jack is also known as "Sub-mini" or

I have interfaced with Byon and Allen a lot over the years. I have enjoyed using their products, and as such, try to give back though whatever support I can. These message boards and user support are

Re: sensors
On the diagram you show: R14 and R15 (left side below U2) are the voltage divider for Vin (BATTERY) which goes to pin 8. R12 and U6 (below that) are correctly identified as the temperature sensor.

Re: sensors
For the EQNS of the voltage and temperature, the manual is the best document. For the photo sensor, you need to determine what the best way of presenting the data is. The tutorial I mentioned earlier

Re: sensors
Nice thank you for definition! added to the GitHub for RTG I am working on, check out attached this was my layout and source of data.. which seems like its trust worthy? SW is SW and T is T correct?

Re: sensors
I am not sure if this info will make things better or worse. The newest RTG's ( made in the last few years and having an SMD PIC, have 20 pin devices. The older units use an 18 pin DIP PIC, so you

I just want technical documents that I cant find if you could show a document that details how to hook up sensors to all of your hardware it would be cool, as a customer of byonics its confusing

Re: sensors
Me too, except I am confident we are looking at RTG. I am looking at the MicroTrak_RTG_FA_Manual_v1.8.pdf on Byonics.com. The schematic (pg 6) shows TELEM on pin 12, and CONFIG on pin 13 of the PIC

Re: sensors
Again, I was creating this for a non-RF project and had complete control over the firmware. I had a simple 'peak detection circuit' on the mic output (resistor to ground, Diode, then Cap to ground).

Re: sensors
Sorry, not sure what I am looking at with the diagram. Is the chip the uP from a RTG? From the schematic, I get: TelmTemp is correct on pin 9, but you appear to be confusing TelmVolts with "audio IN"
