Re: sensors
would be fun to see in a new thread how you handled this .. I wanted to make a motion or human detection sensor and need to latch data for a bit to handle beaconing hows this look

Re: MTT4BT 2.5mm port
Kelly, et al, PORT B, the DB-9 connector on the power/serial cable, is generally used to connect a GPS.It is wired "backwards" in respect to a normal RS-232 connector, so you don't have to use a Null

thank you both very much :)

Re: sensors
In short yes, but it wasn't for any radio related project. I setup a "room monitor" for a friend doing sleep studies.? He wanted an inexpensive "box" to collect room data during a few nights during
Re: sensors
Kelly, On the RTG, you can tap +5 directly off the 5 Volt regulator's output pin. ( Note that there is a 12 Volt regulator too...don't tap that one!) On the MTT4BT, you can tap +5 from pin 2 of J3.

MTT4BT 2.5mm port
I have another question to support@ that I figured I might ask here as well. sorry for the emails I can¡¯t seem to find the documents to confirm my questions yet. What is the proper way the MTT4BT is

Re: sensors
Thanks for answering Rob¡¯s statement Allen, any response to any of my emails? Where do we get vcc to use that T line as advertised?

Re: sensors
Rob, The RTG has one additional sensor input for analog (0-5) volt telemetry, and an input for an external switch to select a secondary configuration ( or "Bank" for the TT4 people) These are

Re: sensors
thanks rob, it sounds like you're pulling up, as well as other end-users general consensus, so that is another riddle solved (open is: VCC RTG and ..) in the sensors you have implemented have you used

Re: sensors
The Direwolf documentation is available here: https://github.com/wb2osz/direwolf/tree/master/doc The Direwolf stuff should be discussed on their groups.io discussion. As it related to Byonics

Re: sensors
Sounds cool if you have the PDF or any details pass it along! yes dire wolf is easy and since in theory I can pi connect the MTT4BT via bluetooth it should be most simple to get going. which enabled

Re: sensors
I see a J11 jack for the RTG, but no reference to it in the hardware manual.? There are references to telemetry for pin 11 (RB5).? The jack has pin 12 (RB6) and ground on it as well.No real info on

Thank you Rob all most helpful. I was out of the game for some time so missed the TT4 hardware but I did get my hands on a MTT4B just haven't got it working yet showed up today! the RGT has a single

Re: sensors
For that, you are probably going to want to look at Direwolf.? They have Python and Curl interfaces that allow for a lot of interface options, and it runs well on a Pi.? I know of a user that has a

Re: sensors
I just looked at the RTG and didn't find any inputs fro anything other than GPS. I don't think that would be possible to do sensors with. ----- Rob KB8RCO

Re: sensors
Well, if you are clever, everything you need is on the header for JP1 - JP5.One side of the 10-pin jumper is Ground, so that is covered. JP5 has Vcc (5V) coming through R7 (2.2k ohms), so current

Re: sensors
I have the "very old" kit version of the TT4 (prior to plus) which has a very limited 5v regulator. With that limitation, I have not tried connecting very many sensors. I did a second (remote) LM335Z
