The highest good and the Why Game
Dear friends
On the one hand it looked like none were playing the Why game with me this week. Adrienne even suggested to let the 'why' drop along the way and then offered her musings on the higher good addition to desire statements which had the list buzzing for days on end. I also observe the tendency to not commit to personal involvement when tendering opinions. For instance the reasons for living were given as to apply to all. We are here to experience or learn or grow or whatever. WHY? WHY? WHY? Is this my personal desire? Do I want to experience? Do I want to learn? Do I want to grow? Well not really! :) Experiences often contain so much pain. All definitons of learning don't appeal to me. I'm tall enough as it is. <grin> My personal desires may contain a little bit of experiencing and I may have to use hitherto unknown abilities (learn them first) to reach the goal and something may grow in my life as I come into the vibrational harmony that matches the desire. To counter this tendency of generalizing my motives through the use of we and they and whichever means I apply to not commit myself to myself and my own desires I intend to apply the 'What does this mean about me?" and "Why" technique during the coming days to everything I observe, read, experience, think about or otherwise come into contact with. And if this is contrasting then I want to find aspects that I can like about it. I want to ask you a favour, too. When I post and within my posts go off on an impersonal tangent will you please nudge me about that. InJoy Ulrike |
LIST CLASS #1 - Appreciation Games
Dearest Co-creators of the Abraham List Classes
Law of Attraction means that whatever matches vibrationally will be drawn together. The Abraham workshops of Deliberate Creation have the subtitle "Art of Allowing". Deliberate Creation is about reducing resistance and increasing allowance. Appreciation is the first step and most powerful way of training ourselves in taking our focus of attention/attraction from things and experiences unwanted and coming into more agreement with who we really are. Here is a quote from Abraham that states this as well: "That's why so many of us teach meditation. Because when you stop thought, you stop resistant thought. When you stop resistant thought, then you let it in. That's why we teach appreciation, because when you're in appreciation, you are not in the mode of resistance, and you are letting it in. North Los Angeles, CA -- 8/13/01 " Thus it is fitting that the first lesson of the Abraham List Classes contains three appreciation games. We have already played the first appreciation game. It is the list of things we love. How did you feel while hunting around for things that you love? Did you also find much more to count into your list than the 10 things required? If you were feeling better as you proceeded into this game, why not use this process often in your life from now onwards? You could keep your list handy, reread it often and add to it as you stumble over more and more lovable items in your life. You could do this exercise every Sunday as a part of your Connect to Spirituality Ritual. If it feels good, do it. :) As I got into the mood of finding 'lovables' I thought of creating a little dictionary of lovables for myself, with as many items for each letter of the alphabet as I can find. But this is only because I love creating booklets and now I'm looking for pictures fitting the words/sentences and spending hours of blissing out on what I love to do, too. Sorting words, scanning pictures, doing the layout and eventually printing my booklet.<grin> The second game is called "What do I like about this." It is also a preparation for pivoting, besides giving us a stronger handle on the potentially good part of issues and situations. Even if there is no official class assignment for this game I would love to see from my co-creators at least one list of "About (a situation, issue, person) I like ..." Take something where it is easy to like a lot about it like butterflies or rainbows. Start at the good feeling end of any stick and work yourself higher up on good feelings. This game is also suited for playing when you are waiting for something, on the road, in a queue, before a dentist appointment...:) The third exercise is the BOPA, the 'Book Of Positive Aspects'. When I did these classes a while ago I nearly broke down trying to do this exercise. To find positive aspects for some people I know seemed impossible. Well, the book is still there and I intend to invent at least one positve aspect for each person listed. The assignment is to start your BOPA. How does it work for you? If you get stuck, how did you manage to reach past your hang ups? These are answers we others are looking for. BTW, there is another little exercise you might want to commit yourself to. During the day keep your mind open for instances of personal success and each evening list at least five items for which you congratulate yourself and five instances where you managed to feel good, appreciative or allowing. Start your day with the intention of noticing these ten items and remembering them until evening. Now, if you haven't done so yet, go get the the Abraham List Class lesson #1 from Connees site and enjoy. Eagerly anticipating your feedback Ulrike |
Re: [Abraham-Hicks] Shaking off reality?
Hi Lex
I'm looking for practical tips on ways to quit allowing reality tomakes me wonder who of us do not have this life long habit. <grin> Any of the Abe techniques may work. For myself I love making lists and give em a few hours and I'll have a lit list ready with reminders for myself to allow more VR and to worry les about what I allow reality to do to me. And I'm starting with REALITY DOES NOT MATTER! LOL - Lots of Love Ulrike |
Re: [Abraham-Hicks] the missing piece... the U
Hi Adrienne
Wonderful messenger of the U! :) With the changes in my life looming higher with each passing day I have the perfect opportunity to worry my head off about how I will be able to cope. So many conditions need to be met for this whole situation to work out well for all concerned on my side of the deal. And in the meantime manifestation demonstrate how off the target I am and I'm getting all frustrated about that, too. And the First message this morning in the inbox is from you. :) <snip> ... it's truly irrelevant<snip> By focusing soSo it is back to lesson #1 and #2 and #3 and #4 ... and to the summary of the lesson for the coming week and to following any good feeling thoughts for me. And the new lesson is about the Placemat Process, which I love and which seems so approriate at this moment. See you all a little later with the summary. And thanks Adrienne for this wonderful start into this wonderful Sunday. Blessings Ulrike |
LIST CLASS #7: The Placemat process
Hi wonderful deliberate Co-Creators and journey-people of the Art of
Allowing When I read about the Placemat process the first time it really took away all my joy in list-making. And then I realized that the frustration of list-making was also gone. Now I do my lists in a different way and still have the joy but none of the pain. Before I used to make these to do lists and then kept myself busy with actions that were not listed. Small wonder that I was frustrated when I was tired - from resisting what I had initially planned to do and from being active in avoidance tactics all day - and still have all or nearly all the Do To things on the list uncrossed. With the Placemat Process I can still make lists to my hearts content. I can add, on the Universe's side, so much more than I would have previously when I still had to consider what I could or would be able to do within the time given. And I can stop adding those things I don't really want to do, the should do and supposed to do things. Marcy offered a wonderful basic Plaemat Process list a few days ago. On our side of the list she puts: breathe in and breathe out and everything else goes on the other side. When things or activities are listed on the U's side it does not meant that we may not take action. I had 'Clear the office floor' on the U's side this morning and somewhere along the line I found myself in the office, picking up things and eventually vacuuming the cleared space. :) With my personal situation the way it seems at the moment I'm putting everything on the U's side. A wonderful solution with: A way to live well. A great place to stay for us. A peaceful unentanglement Relaxation A wonderful Christmas time People and things and activities that draw life-energy through me And on my side I have: Imagine millionaire properties and aspects as per Susan James' instructions. :) drawing VRs BOPA And I'm preparing a dozen or so Placemat papers with lines and all to put next to my bed for the following days to be included in my waking up ritual. Remember to have fun with this. Flowing in a heat wave Ulrike |
To be or not to be ... focussed on reality
Hi All-owers
Abraham has told us often to: "Never face reality if it is not the way you want it to be." "Observe less and dream more" "Good feels good and bad feels bad" "Everything that happens in your experience is about the vibration you've set up." "Reality is only a brief moment in time you keep repeating" "Be happy where you are and recognize it as a place to stand from which to move forward." "Dream your dream purely, don't face reality. And take maximum joy with whatever you have so far." And time and again the message is to be grateful for the contrast we perceive because contrast is needed to conclude preferences from. Thus, if I perceive contrast within my reality I try to remember for myself that a) This is only a snapshot of how I'm vibrating - and I/it can change any moment - It is only a result of my vibrational mix - and I can change my vibrational output by looking for anything/any thought that feels better. I don't have to stay with my attention fixed on what I perceive but I can do a 30 Second VR fun experience. (and another, and another, and another ...:)) b) It does not really matter :) c) To which part of this perceived/observed reality can I say YES? (Book of positive aspects) d) What could a parallel reality look like? (dream or desire) e) What is a "Positive What if" I could find in this reality? f) If I could love myself in this situation what would I do for myself? How would I be loving to myself? g) "Thank you situation for showing me something about my vibration that is not allowing" "What would allowing feel like instead?" h) If I had what I desire, what would that give me? And if I had that, what would that give me? ... following the thread until I come to the core of my desire - which most of the time is to be happy. In a way this is the "Why do I want what I want" process Abraham has told us about. i) Do a Place Mat with "pet a cat" on my side and "everything else" on the Universes side of the line. j) Remember that I'm too hard on myself, when I'm not letting it in. k) Segment intend to feel good for one minute at a time (or 30 seconds with a VR :)) Thank you for letting me ramble on. It helps me so much to allow more relaxation within my own perception of reality. Be well and L(ots)o(f)L(ove) Ulrike Would you love to have your poems or story in ebook format? Together we can create ebooks from any specialised information you may have to share. rica@... |
Re: [Abraham-Hicks] Small Manifestation?
Hi All-owers
This morning, before going to my work place I mentioned to you the contrast I'm experiencing there which involves a radio playing. When I arrived there shortly afterwards, it was quiet in the office and the radio has been taken out of the office. :) Is this a manifestation, or not? LOL Ulrike |

Denise Lynn in her book 'Past Lives, Present Dreams' proposes to 'CHANGE IT" on page 125. I quote: "I find the most powerful technique to resolve an uncomfortable past life memory is to change the circumstances of your past life until it feels comfortable or enjoyable. I believe that you can actually change the past; but if this is too much for you to accept, then imagine that you are changing the images that are stirred in your brain. As you change those stored images in your brain, imagine you are changing the associated limiting beliefs." Even if we accept that all 'lives' are NOW, this could be a powerful way to 'change' the past. And the present and the future, too. :) This would also apply to 'past' experiences in this life. In this context I'm reminded of an Abe quote "Nothing has any meaning except the meaning we give it." If we can pivot from perceiving/remembering an experience as undesirable to something along the line of, "This experience was the best that could have happened to me." this would give us so much freedom from pains and hurts and judgements. A technique to use could be the Abe process of Scripting. Instead of writing a script about a future we would like to experience we could write a script about a past we would like to have experienced. Whatever I do it will always be something to assist me to find and follow my bliss. <smile> And it is never to late to have a blissfull childhood. Warmest Ulrike ----- Original Message -----

Re: [Abraham-Hicks] dynamic laws of prosperity
Hi Adrienne
Giving the tenth promotes our prosperity vibration when and if it is done with the attitude/knowledge fo "There is more than enough and I can freely give away some of what I receive and don't need to know or control where it goes to." This would be like a reflection of the abundance of the Universe in my personal life. And it really does not matter where this tenth goes to. You could put it in an envelope and leave it on a bench in the park. You could mail it to any address in your town. You could hand it to the next street child you meet. As long as it comes from the vibration of 'There is more than enough.' Blessings Ulrike |
massive issues
Sweet Juls, Carol, Ann Marie and Allowers
When I said that food intake, body format and exercise are not really related in a causal way I meant that in the way as Ann Marie stated it. And for myself I seem to get nearer to the understanding that work and income have the same non-existant relationship, too. :) This brings me to a quote from Abe (paraphrased), "As long as I am unhappy about where or what I am I can't move to where or what I want to be." For myself this means, get into a place of feeling at ease about where and what I am. Let it go, forgive myself if necessary, take away judgements about the issue, pivot on this in whichever way I can manage to. LOL - shall I try to say for myself; "It's good to be poor!" until it is no issue any more? Could you try to reach a position of saying, "It's good to take up a lot of space in this reality." until it is no issue any more. Well, since I am more on the count the vertebraes from the front I have to go about weighty issues in a devious and roundabout way. <grin> Then the rocket of desire can also shoot off. :) This is for me the searching for how it would feel to be in the other place and enjoying that. The last step would be to not DO anything to reach that place until it feels natural to take action. For instance not to go on any diets or do exercises to reach the place but to eat whatever tastes just right at any given moment and to move at ease all the time in the frame of body images and for abundance issues - listen up Ulrike! :) - do whatever is the next thing to be done, doing the dishes, write an email, think about the next book, sew some and not connect that to possible income streams in my mind. Dear Universal Manager, thank you for allowing me to be a member of this Super Duper Special Loving Group of Special Power Flow-ers on the Leading Edge ot Deliberate Creation. Ulrike |
two souls
Dear Juls
You wrote "I mean part of me believes that food and excercise make the difference and part of me doesn't and it seems like the two cancel each other out and I stay right where I am. " This sounds so very much familiar. Like the one part of me that believes that painful work and income are related and part of me doesn't. :) What I am doing now is getting these two parts into communication. I'm getting two dolls sitting on two chairs looking at each other. One is the 'face harsh reality' part of me and the other is the 'dreamer'. When I did this for the first time many years ago on another issue it was called "Gestalt". You could get a cuddly Teddy on the chair for the fat Juls and a Barbie on the other chair for the slim Juls. To start with I'll take the position of the Dreamer (sit on the chair and take Dreamer on the lap and be Dreamer) and now I'm asking the other "Who are you and what do you want?" Now I'm switching to the other. Sitting on that chair and becoming "Harsh Reality" and I answer "I am the beggar who hated to live on charity. I am the inability to DO things and be useful. I want to be loved and accepted, even though I cannot earn a living. And I am also the poor dumb and blind soul who was unjustly put in jail because nobody understood the sign language. I want justice!" and as 'Beggar' I now ask the 'Dreamer', "Who are you and what do you want?" I switch back to the other and reply, "I am Hrastis who searched for and found immortality and I am the redheaded Russian who left his comfortable life to follow his beloved into the wilds of Canada for the bliss of being together. I want to be able to let go of all worldly things again and just be." As facilitator of this communication process I now get the parties to understand what each could do for the other. I let Hrastis ask the Beggar what she can do for him and I let the Beggar ask Hrastis what he can do for her. And I go on with Exercise this until I have a viable solution to my dilemma. Btw the four figures are what I remember from other lives and I haven't managed to feel comfortable with any of them yet. :) Doing this exercise is for me also a way of rewriting my 'past'. <grin> Who knows how this may affect my future. :) Thanks for reminding me of this process again. Be well Ulrike |
all hell breaks loose
Hi Allowers
Can any of you remember the conversation with Abraham when they responded to a question about: "Why is it that all hell breaks loose when one starts to apply the principles of LOA?" This is something I read in a Quarterly many years ago, and somehow the physical reference (the booklet) went missing in my life. :) As I remember it the response was in the line of, "As you start to think in the new way the old way (old beliefs) gets all mixed up and upset and shows up en masse to kind of try and convince you that the OLD way is right and the NEW way couldn't possibly be of any value." It is as if the subliminal doubts come out of hiding and become very much in your face doubts to be pivoted on. I'd love to read again what Abraham said about this and their advice on how to pivot and hold on to the feeling good place of pivots, or whatever. <grin. Ulrike |
updated info
Hello,
I was wondering if there is a digest form availabe on this list? Also, I frequently go back and view the archives of past posts on other lists that I subscribe to. I remember when I first subscribed at onelist, I was sent an email saying that the list origination had moved......Is there and archive address for this list? Although I haven't posted a message to this list yet, I love reading, learning and applying the principles disccussed. Thank you! Leona |

From: LDCA@...Hi Leona and all, I set up this list on Onelist to reserve the name there, and also, to find like minds that search for a mail list for the Abraham Teachings. The active list itself (the one you are receiving email from), is on LSoft, ...not Onelist. Onelist is the largest email listserv in the world, and is free. (It gives advertisments out to pay for it.) The LSoft email list is paid for by me personally, and only it cost me $29.00 per month. I am happy to pay that for a commercial-free list with many other features not on Onelist. On your digest question, LSoft does have a digest. If you want that, email me PEM, and I will set that for you, although you can do that yourself also with a command to the Listserv address. On the archives, I store them on my own machine. Just ask and I will forward whatever dates to you. Hope this helps. There are quite a few on this list now, which is why I responded to the list, as you had made a list post here. In love, david. |
ARCHIVES
I wanted to print out some emails from the archives instead of printing each one out individually. It appears that the archives are not updated. Can the moderator of this list shed some light on this for me? Thank you very much. I like receiving them individually, but it gets cumbersome printing them out that way.

changed my mind...
Connee Chandler
Hi, friends,
Here's a message on the new list to test it out. Thanks for the kind messages of those of you who congratulated me on my decision to go to Ministerial School. Thank you for your encouragement. I am now loving having the opportunity to change my mind about wanting that. First question I asked them was about a surprise Colloquium they forgot to tell me about in Santa Barbara in Sept. They said I needed to attend, even though I have signed a contract to attend the Big Sky Retreat, where I have been for 11 years, and serve on the Board. So I got immediate feedback that going to school would be in conflict with my heart and my current sense of integrity. Hurrah! No need to get deep into the experience to find I don't fit in that particular box at this point in my life! Good news indeed! Juls and Caryl helped me write about what I want, and it didn't turn out to be formal schooling right now. I am already living a life of grace and freedom that is expanding in joy. That is what I want. And I want wonderful opportunities to share with other people that they too can live in freedom, grace and joy. For now, that is good enough for me! <grin> Maybe someday that will mean that I formally become a minister. But right now, it means that I continue to learn what delights me, like Abraham and Science of Mind, and continue to allow joyfilled opportunities to play with other like minded folks, like at Margie's retreat in California next month and at the Big Sky Retreat in Montana in September. Life is good, indeed! Love and cyberhugs, Connee |
