Thanks for the URL, Siggi. The last picture in the album is my assistant performing a thermal stress test. :) DW ________________________________________ Sent: Tuesday, June 12, 2018 9:52 AM To:

I saved detailed notes and photos in topic and photo album titled "453 HV Transformer Rewind". Maybe it will be useful, but you will have to figure out your turns counts unless someone else here

Goo Gone original is my go to for adhesive cleanup. You can buy it almost anywhere. I've never used it on painted surfaces, but it's supposed to be paint safe. https://googone.com/products/original/

Over the years, I have had a wide variety of equipment with vinyl coated aluminum panels. I used to cuss quite a bit when I got something that was gorgeously pretty, but was sticky like you were

Adhesive residue that has turned hard does require something to soften it, but if it is still gooey, I use duct tape to lift it off. It can take persistence and numerous press-and-lift cycles,

What removes vinyl plasticizer stickyness on cabinets?

Re: Tektronix 2465. Odd wave pattern superimposed on waveforms.
Hi John, If this wave only travels on CH1 and CH2, but not on CH3 and CH4, it is probably a problem with the external garbage that Tektronix hung on the CH5+ and CH5- inputs of the U400 channel switch

for me, the most reliable "sticker" remover has consistently been goo-gone. this is especially true with government asset labels and old cal stockers. I also use alcohol sometimes, but it is just not

Not this, but vinyl boots on alligator clips and the like eat themselves into polystyrene parts boxes. I'm always suspected the softeners in the PVC. Plastics are weird that way. I'm told the sticking

from Chuck: "Goo gone is not aqueous. It is more like terpene, made from the citrus, with mineral oil added to prevent re-adhesion of the stickum." Yes, oils seem to passivate the glue surface

Hit "Enter" too Quick. I found that I can take a small piece of cotton rag, cut to fit over the offending spot, soak with naptha or WD40 and allow to soak for a while. This seems to help dissolve the

I have used WD40 and Naptha with great success. Isopropyl works well on some stains as well. As most chemicals state, "test on an inconspicuous location" before you start cleaning. -- Michael Lynch

Sounds like ripple on one of the supplies. Have you checked with a scope?

I use automotive "Wax and Grease Remover" obtained from an automotive paint supplier, it is used a prep agent just prior to painting. Works great for removing sticker residue, and other greasy stuff.
