Re: 2445 LVPS Issues
I¡¯m somewhat confused by all the talk about the fan. I found mine loose. I tightened it a little and it works fine. Further, Why not just blow the dust off with air Again, Again, I did and had no

Re: 2445 LVPS Issues
I thought that might be in order but wasn't sure if just removing the screws would free the back panel enough (due to connections, etc.). I'll give that a whirl. Odd that the manual doesn't mention

Re: 2445 LVPS Issues
Whenever you remove the power supply from a 2465 family scope, remove all of the screws that hold the right side of the rear panel, and pull it out 1/2 inch. -Chuck Harris n4buq wrote:

7000 series empty plugin frame $12 shipped
I disassembled this frame from a 7A16. It will come with the 8 corner screws that turn it into a box, the back plastic end piece, the front casting, top and bottom rails, no side covers, (but those

Re: 2445 LVPS Issues
Tapped lightly on the shaft, the collet released, and the impeller came right off. The collet is indeed broken. That's quite fragile (as stated) as I don't recall putting very much torque on that

Re: letter series plugins
Oh, disregard that, I am remembering just a couple days after when the whole thing was not done yet, and the report did not mention any cause of death.

Re: letter series plugins
Hi Chuck- I really do understand! I guess it all depends on what the project is. I wouldn't let my 7104 or 7934 go any quicker than the 555. Just a matter of using the 555 for what it can do (just

Jason, you are so right about the tunnel diode based trigger systems in some of the analog scopes. There's nothing else like them. Plus, with a digital scope, the instrument is assessing the waveform

Bob Pease - It was interesting that all of the news reports and obituaries stated that Bob died due to the accident. The only reference to a heart attack ever seen was from a comment made by his wife

Re: 2445 LVPS Issues
I think I'm going to paste this note inside my 2465, just in case I forget how to get it off. I think I'll print it in red, maybe 30pt type :-) Paul -- Paul Amaranth, GCIH | Manchester MI, USA Aurora

Re: 2445 LVPS Issues
It is a plastic collet, in a plastic taper. The two practically weld together after being under tension for many, many years. The screw is molded into the plastic collet, and turning the screw
