Re: Screwdriver for Pozidriv (Pozi) Screws used by Tek
To be specific. I think you mean, hardware store in the USA. There is a wild outside the US, we use strange things like metric instead of Inch, Celcius instead of Fahrenheit ect. And so there are many

Re: Screwdriver for Pozidriv (Pozi) Screws used by Tek
Here in Europe pozidrive is the standard for most mechanical screws. Mechanics screwdriver sets typically come with pozidrive, electricians sets typically come with philips, so we can easily get both

Screwdriver for Pozidriv (Pozi) Screws used by Tek
Tek used Pozi screws in all of their equipment as far back as the late 1960s. At casual glance they look like Phillips Head screws with four little marks at 45 degree angles to the slots. There is an

Re: 2465b CRT Termination Question R1501 **update** cursor question
There are adjustments for the horizontal gain (for x1 and x10) and position and it is done in the Cal-01 process. The vertical adjustments are done in cal-02. A good read of the calibration section

Re: 7B92 No Auto trigger
Hi Albert, I had a few minutes to do some probing, and it looks like CR364 is being triggered on the leading (falling) edge of the square wave from the collector of Q376 which is fed by the comparator

Re: 2465b CRT Termination Question R1501
The adjustment of R1501 is done in the Cal-06 step, vertical transient response. It provides a termination for the vertical deflection plates. Cal-06 is one of the hardest to do in my opinion. If your

Re: How to calibrate a frequency counter (on the cheap)
Those types of receivers are examples of the first type I discussed and are the most common. Both types can achieve 1 part in 10^12 accuracy but it takes more effort with the non-Thunderbolt type. You

Re: How to calibrate a frequency counter (on the cheap)
Thanks for all of the very helpful replies! What about a non-Thunderbolt GPS receiver that only outputs a 1 pps signal and has no provision for a 10 MHz output? For example, a receiver that has

I asked about this not long ago on the time-nuts@... mailing list. Most receivers have a fixed frequency oscillator driving the numerically control oscillators so the 1pps output has significant

Usually the 1 pps comes from the 10 MHz (or some higher reference) but they are both common. Tom

Re: How to calibrate a frequency counter (on the cheap)
If I understand correctly, the 20nS spec. of the 1ppS signal is relative to time, not frequency, in other words, it means that the 1 ppS pulse is within 20nS of GPS (I think) time once the delays are

Re: How to calibrate a frequency counter (on the cheap)
After seeing this post, I looked into the specs of various GPS receivers. I note that the Thunderbolt is rated at 1 part in 10^12 accuracy with respect to the 10 MHz signal that it produces - can't

Re: 7B92 No Auto trigger
I have no clue. They are in a bin marked something like "5V T-1" and when tested were more like 75mA instead of 60mA. The place is Gateway Electronics near St. Louis but they do not have them listed
