The adjustment of R1501 is done in the Cal-06 step, vertical transient
response. It provides a termination for the vertical deflection plates. Cal-06
is one of the hardest to do in my opinion. If your scope is working ok, I would
leave it alone unless you had to change some parts.

Gave a quick look through the service manual in the CRT
adjustemnt section and it is not listed.
