Re: More on my Tektronix 545B
Hi,
I followed this discussion for a while. I have a 1A1 manual
series no. 20000 up with FETs in the input stages. The circuit
between the CH1 input and CH1 output is only supplied by the

The connector/cable that I was thinking of, one put out by Hughes, was named
'Gold Dot', that name flashed back while reading your mailing. Apparently,
that was a reliable connector.

Hi Jose,
I would agree that it looks like a power supply problem. You should be able to
find the test points for the power supplies on a ceramic strip on the upper

Re: 2235 shadow?
Hi, Jeff,
What you have is a normal artifact that is found on any Tek scope
that has a CRT with an internal scan expansion mesh. This mesh is in
the 485, 465, 475, 7000-series, 2200-series and other

Re: More on my Tektronix 545B
Hi Jose,
It looks like the power supply isn't regulating properly and has
ripple on it.
I'd check the supply lines for ripple if you've got another CRO. Probably
either voltage set too

2235 shadow?
Hi All,
I have a 2235 that displays what I can best describe as a shadow on the crt.
It is not really a shadow cause it is light rather than dark, but that is
the best that I can come up with.

Re: 7403N and 7D01/DF1
I wander if that indicates overload; as far as I remember DF1 does not have
a backplane connector of its own, everything goes through that 50 pin D
connector, power included.
