Re: Is anyone out there still repairing refurbishing restoring 500 series oscilloscopes?

Re: Good Contact Cleaner
The best is Deoxit D5. This is spray stuff but they also make a liquid. In either case apply it using a small brush, an artist's brush. Do not use a cotton swab, they tend to leave lint in the

I¡¯ve been using compressed alcohol and a rag/toothbrush to remove the oil in all of mine, then using window cleaner to clean up what¡¯s left. I remove all the tubes and keep them in order first

Good Contact Cleaner
hey folks , I have a 922 that is not working on one channel . Before I go real deep in it I thought I would spend some time cleaning switch contacts as I've read that sometimes solves this issue .

7000 Mater 4 holed socket?
Hello people of Tekscopes,
I am curious to know what the function of the four holed (socket?) is on the top of each 7000 series plug-in "mater".
I've 3D modeled these maters but never the 4 holed

Keith,
If you want, I can send a photo of the parts list I used for mine that has Mouser part numbers. The list is several years old so prices and parts may not be the same.

May I ask one more question: Can the PSU board(s) be powered up without their outputs driving the rest of the scope
