Re: Tek 2440 ripple, grat illum inop
Does the displayed ripple change with vertical sensitivity? Is the displayed ripple synchronous with the ripple on the +5 volt supply? I do not think the graticule output circuit will work correctly

Re: Introducing myself and my Tek 465 Project
The 76xx series of 100 MHz oscilloscopes has a similar perplexing pattern. The 7603, 7613, and 7623 which were all released in 1973 use

Re: Introducing myself and my Tek 465 Project
Same here with my 475. All filter caps on my 475 are original and it was recommended to leave them be. John I also refurbed a 475 (c. 1973) over this past winter, and it came complete with all the

Re: Tek 2247A [SN B029000] Recap and diode part list ?
Hi Nielsen, Measuring ripple especially those having pk-pk 2-4mv seem very tricky to get because noise created by probes in the air near the test point already seeing noise more than 2mv. How did you

OT: Triplett 630-NA (was 465B Focus Troubleshooting)
I've been considering an analog meter myself and your post made me decide to look again. A great deal came and I took the plunge. I found a Triplett 630-NA Type 3 on eBay and ended up paying a

Re: Introducing myself and my Tek 465 Project
I checked my early 465 manual (070-1330-00, 1972). It contains a change notice and detailed section that announce and describe the change to a discrete Vertical Output Amplifier for S/N's B040000 and

I just realised that I confused your thread with another current thread: "Introducing myself and my Tek 465 Project". The problem 'scope in that thread has the -8 V problem My manual (070-1330-00)

Re: Tek 2247A [SN B029000] Recap and diode part list ?
Hi Neilsen, I did ordered MUR160G diode but end up not replacing it as DMM measurement seems within spec. Secondly, those diode having issues seem specific to particular diodes brand/batches only.

Re: 465 Power Supply Problem
Thanks Raymond. C1569 seems fine, and the -8V supply is also good. The manual seems to specify that Q1514 is there to protect the +120 V supply, and that if it fails, it may cause problems: "Below SN
