Re: Anyone have a power entry module for a TM502 chassis? Or advice on how to repair a broken one.
Schaffner is known for using the dreaded exploding Rifa capacitors, so be careful of any older Schaffner power entry modules. I found one in IIRC an HP 70000 series spectrum analyzer from the 1980s or

I have one with the same problem. I now use it for a test bed.

Re: vintageTEK new debugging aid
When posting an EBAY link, just post the information before the first question mark, not including the question mark. It should still work.

Re: Anyone have a power entry module for a TM502 chassis? Or advice on how to repair a broken one.
On my TM502A, I used Schaffner part number 4303.1093, and for the matching Voltage Selector Fuse Drawer I used Schaffner part number 4303.2014.01 (Just double check if the fuse drawer is included or

Re: vintageTEK new debugging aid
My CurveBug arrived today and appears to work as advertised. I'm sure it will come in handy, but I agree that having more OS support would be a plus. Dave Casey [email protected]> wrote:

Thanks John, I may give that a try just to see how it works. After a bunch of digging, it looks like the correct part is still available. Schurter p/n 4303.0213 seems to be an exact fit minus the 4

Is it plastic? You can take a flat bladed soldering iron and put the temp at 450 deg and weld plastic. To make a tab, it helps to have a slab of iron or aluminum to mold against. The heatsink effect

Re: Looking for rear feet for 2465 DVM scope
Jason, Yes depending what S/N your scope is does indicate the type of fan. Best for you to remove the rear cover and you will have either the axial or squirrel cage style. The squirrel cage center

Re: Tek 453 variants
When I got my 453 mod703H many years ago, I contacted Deane Kidd about a manual. He told me he did not know of one and info on this mod was scarce. My observations indicate the 703H has a larger CRT

Anyone have a power entry module for a TM502 chassis? Or advice on how to repair a broken one.
I got a TM502A that is in working condition but was dropped at some point. The spot welds that held the power transformer bracket gave out (I assume from being dropped) and the weight of the

Looking for rear feet for 2465 DVM scope
I just picked up a 2465DVM from a TV station nearby, I have a few questions but I'm mostly looking for the rear feet/cord wrap that is supposed to be on this scope. The bottom parts of the feet are

Re: Tektronix 547 Lack of Sweep or Intensity Control
Gordon, I did use 6.3VDC in the scope. That is because I used a toroid transformer that has two 6V windings, not 6.3V. Under load, the 6VAC dropped a bit too much. The laminated transformer you use

Re: Tek 2432 & 2430A Power up fails
I managed to find 2 exactly the same SRAM chips and ordered these. I will mount these on a socket. In the mean time I will give it a try with a 3V (a little lower voltage than the Li) replacement

Re: Tektronix 547 Lack of Sweep or Intensity Control
Just keep in mind the instantaneous voltage to the 6.3V filament will be excessive until it heats up and the resistance increases. You could blow the CRT filament.

Re: Tek 7a13 mechanical to LED display conversion ? / 7ct1n user notes ?
I'm thinking about how to make a circuit to read the voltage directly from the CRT readout, keeping it simple. It could have many other applications for the other plugins.
