Re: Scope bandwidth
RG-59 is 75 ohms. You want to use some 50 ohm cable (RG-58) for your jumper. Your BNC T with a 50 ohm termination will introduce some VSWR to the measurement. Use a 50 ohm through adapter for the best

Re: Scope bandwidth
Hi Steve, The reference frequency used typically is 50 kHz. However there shouldn't be much difference in scope response from 50 kHz to 1 MHz. It sounds like there is a problem either with your

Scope bandwidth
Hi all, I have a Tek 2235. Its -3dB bandwidth specification is "DC to at least 100MHz" when using the 5mV/division to 5V/division vertical scales. For no particular reason, I decided to verify that

Re: Looking for manual on this scope
Hi, ? I did see the beginning of thsi and so my aplogies if I'm late.... ? Back in the '60s the store where I worked refered to this difference as scopes that were either dual-beam or dual-trace.?

Re: 7T11 with truncated trace in ET modes
Hello David, I repaired a set of 7S11/7T11 some time ago. What I do recall is that it was unusually difficult to understand how these units work. You can easily lose track if the controls are set in

Proximity fuzes would like a word with you... How does 100000G and 20000RPM sound to you? With tubes.

7T11 with truncated trace in ET modes
I'm doing battle with a 7T11 with a few problems. The one that is puzzling me is that in Real Time mode the trace is a full 10 divisions wide, but in Equivalent Time mode (Time Pos Rng < 50uS), the

Re: Tentative 647 scan?
harder Some time ago I collected a 5-series scope, and as a result of handle rot the whole massive scope crashed to the concrete path. Made a hell of a bang. And missed my toes thank heavens Turned

Re: Tentative 647 scan?
20G isn't much - if you drop it two feet onto concrete it will get a much harder G shock than that. Regards, David Partridge

Re: Tentative 647 scan?
Well, the catalogs from the mid to late 60's show Tek scopes around fighters, subs (if I recall correctly), etc. Maybe they were trying to impress military types that were used to seeing G ratings? A

Really nice. Once again the depth and team spirit of this forum shines. Curious¡. The specification indicates that the scope can take 20G¡¯s acceleration in any plain for a total of 12 hits. I

If your scope has an FCC ID number or UL registration number on the nameplate, perhaps it could be possible to identify the original manufacturer. The first three characters of FCC ID number identify

Re: Type J plugin?
Maybe the difference is that the 1Ax series support ALT sweep slave mode (dividing the input channels between the A and B timebases) and/or trigger channel selection?
