If your scope has an FCC ID number or UL registration number on the nameplate, perhaps it could be possible to identify the original manufacturer.
The first three characters of FCC ID number identify the manufacturer, if you enter them in the following page (in the Grantee Code box):
http://transition.fcc.gov/oet/ea/fccid/
For UL registration number you can refer to the following page on how to identify the UL file number:
http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/How-to-Discover-Your-Power-Supplys-Real-Manufacturer/370/3
and then entering the UL file number in the UL page:
http://database.ul.com/cgi-bin/XYV/template/LISEXT/1FRAME/index.htm
