You have a quality instrument in front of you, not a yugo.
I can assure you it will not "fall apart in multiple ways".
All it needs is some minimum attention, given the life of the
instrument it is really no effort at all.
You can expect this scope to outlast anything you buy now.
That doesn't change that it is an analog scope and to me digital ones
are more useful for everyday work.
But I won't sell or give away my analog scopes either, you never know....
