Did that once when I was impatient, to smoke out a tantalum cap that had shorted out the -15V rail :-)
To make a test jig like you suggest, I would just get a card-edge connector with solder lugs (Mouser 587-345-076-500-201 is a good fit) and attach the handful of wires needed. See for photos.
If you have enough lab supplies that might be all you need, or you put together a quick-hack linear supply for +15, -15, +50, -50, and +5.
