Mark,
Regarding the capacitor selection, are you saying to replace the axial leaded caps with radials? That's what I'm finding in the Nichicon line (UHE, etc.) and I would have thought axials were available in Nichicon. I can get axials in other brands but not sure if those are as good of a unit as the Nichicon (or equivalent).
If you used radials, then how did you install them?
Thanks,

Barry,
You sound more nervous than necessary. Go ahead and replace the parts.
Knowing you have known good new parts, they will eliminate themselves as a
problem source. Since yours has the oldest value filters for the 50V
supplies, yours are rated at 60V. You said you will get a higher value than
33mfd. Get the 47mfd 100V UHE. Those will fit. You will need six, three for
each 50V supply. A price break is at ten. Having spares on hand is a good
idea. Replacing all the condensers in the supply and the two in the high
voltage box would be best. Other parts mentioned, replace as well. I did
increase the wattage of some resistors. If you want to know the ones I
replaced, ask. See if you have any further problems after you replace what
you want. It is not possible to know if there will be any further problems
until the first one is taken care of. All of us hope you get it going
without further problems. I have enjoyed helping you and wish you the best.
I will be glad to help if you still need any. Tell yourself "I will replace
the parts and see what happens". We all need a small mental push at times.
Mark
