2712 SA that thinks it is a 2714

I have a 2712 spectrum analyzer that thinks it is a 2714 (CATV) unit. The firmware installed is applicable to all the models, so it would seem that somewhere there is a jumper, or something, that tells the processor what the model is.
Any ideas?
