Hello everyone,
I have aquired a database of test equipment parts that provides
information on part numbers such as NSN, original
manufacturer/supplier, similar P/Ns, manufacturers P/N, etc. It has
about 24,000 Tek parts and 57,000 HP parts along with other equipment
manufacturers. It has parts in it up to about year 1995.
Let me know of any parts you are looking for info about and I will
try to accomodate you with the information.
Just for a try, I got out my Tek 535A manual and started searching.
I checked the CRT P/N and found about 6 P/Ns that will fit the scope.
Three of the parts are not even manufactured by Tek. Tek may have
subcontracted these other companies (Fairchild and 2 other ones) to
make CRTs for them (Stan: any idea?).
You may recall that at least three companies (LaVoie, Jetronic, and Hickok)
made copies of Tek scopes. I can guarantee you that Tek would NOT sell them
CRT's. They had to get them made somewhere so I would bet these are the
non-Tek CRT's that will fit the 533. There are some that will fit the 540
series too.
If you can provide information on HP parts, I can certainly use some help
with that. I have some HP stuff that must be valuable to someone, like card
extenders and plugin extenders, but I have no idea which HP instruments use
them. It only makes sense to list these items on eBay if I can tell the
potential buyers what they work with. Can you help me with that? We NEED a
good HP expert here but I have to wonder if it is appropriate to talk about
this on the Tekscopes reflector . . . Someone want to start an "HPstuff"
reflector? If one exists, I don't know about it . . .

I also checked some ICs, transistors, and diodes that from other
manuals that Tek did not show the manufacturers P/N and most of the
time they are in this database (along with company addresses and
phone numbers).
I can email and provide the information in a ".prt" type file that
can be viewed with MS Word or other text viewer.

Hope I can help,
