Re: Express Wind - Sunfish Clone
Adi, Take a look in the PHOTOS section at the "Other Fish" folder. Check out the Barracuda photos. Does this look like your boat by any chance? Wayne wrote: <wcarney@f...>

Thanks Wayne, This is certainly useful. I had come across something much more abbreviated along similar lines. This should certainly help. Adi wrote:

Re: Express Wind - Sunfish Clone
Hi Wayne, Thanks for the offer. I will try and post some photos as well. It appears to be similar to the Conqueror with a larger (than sunfish) cockpit that surrounds the daggerboard boot. It also has

Express Wind - Sunfish Clone
I'm looking for information on a Sunfish lookalike called the Express Wind which I have just acquired. I am a newbie sailor and have not found any reference to this boat anywhere. Thanks for all help.

Re: Hi everyone
Hi, Welcome to the group. Sorry to hear about your family dispute. You'll probably come out ahead if you wind up with a newer Fish. Good luck in your quest, Wayne

Re: Sail Ring SIze
Ed, The commonly used hull speed formula is: 1.34 X the square root of LWL = Speed (in knots) A boat's LWL (Length at Water Line) is equal to the distance between the wave crests created at the bow

Re: Sail Ring SIze
Great, thanks for the measurements, Wayne, they match my "Fish-clone" exactly. For now I am going to use tie-wraps until I order a set of rings. Just for fun.... How fast has a Sunfish actually gone?

Hi Judy, OK, having once been the owner of a 400 lb. bouncing baby Sunfish I can relate to having a bit of water trapped in the hull. I'll outline a couple of things here and let you apply what you

Hi Judy, Is yours one with the drain plug on the upper right (starboard) side just forward of the cockpit ? If so, are you propping the boat up so that the drain hole is down ? If so, and no water is

Re: Sail Ring SIze
Hi, Another option is to simply lace the sail on with any heavy nylon cord. "Parachute" cord come to mind. Two long cords in a spiral wrap would do nicely. One for each spar. Works good on my 'fish.
