I responded using my phone and am not seeing what I wrote on the web site. The red wire is terminal 58 "malfunction Indicator Lamp" The yellow wire is grounded best as I can tell from my wire tracer.

For your engineer you should have a ODB2 interface. If you have that you can connect it to a reader. Many of us use the app torque and our phones with a $10 Bluetooth ODB2 reader Amazon or eBay. If

I go down in compression either with 1st; 2nd or third gear the engine shuts of. No i am not in neutral. I use in dash speedometer speed sensor. I have not test if works fine. Don't know how to test

I believe he means the 12v supplied to the OBD port which may have a Bluetooth unit plugged into it for diagnostics.

You said it is a ¡¯97 EJ22, That is OBD2. There should be an OBD2 connector, not the green plugs. Leads me to think someone wired it as OBD1 (not Small Car). Google the number on the ECU and see
