Re: Random Switch

If it is ODB2 maybe that switch is to shut down the Bluetooth scanner so it doesn't drain the battery

You said it is a ¡¯97 EJ22,? That is OBD2.? There should be an OBD2 connector,? not the green plugs.? Leads me to think someone wired it as OBD1 (not Small Car). Google the number on the ECU and see what it¡¯s from.? Also, how many O2 sensors do you have?? OBD1 has one and OBD2 has two.? Someone might have gotten a deal on that harness and ECU.?

Thanks everyone.?

Reply from Austin at Small Car "We don¡¯t put switches on the harness.? If that is in your harness¡ªI recommend you get a new harness.? That is a terrible idea."

Even though the conversion components came from S.C., all the receipts?for the swap are from Dean's Car Care in Portland,OR.

So I will dig through the folder and see if I can find who did the harness.

I have the wiring diagram and have not had time to go through it yet and try to figure it out.?

?

I do have the green test plugs, I will plug them in and flip the switch and see what happens.

?

I like the idea of a TUNE, but sadly no?increase in HP when switch flipped in either direction.??

?

I also have a financier?wire tracer that I will use to find which direction the wires run.

?

I will report back, I should have time today to investigate.
