Electric motors drawing maximum current at stall, perhaps a/the fan motor(s) experience rotor drag sufficient to blow the fuse. Maybe blowing has kept windings from cooking.

Matt I used a compressor from an 07 2.5, new from Subaru, and the corresponding mount bought used off ebay. The mount needs heavy mods, as the T belt on the 3.3 is way wider than the 2.5. Otherwise it

IIRC the syncro speedometer is different than the 2wd and (also IIRC) there are different speed sensors. I think this is written on the GoWesty sensor page a possible different reason for a cut out
