Re: engine shuts off on steep downhills
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThank you all for the detailed answers on my problem. Looks like I am not the only one having this. I would like to give a few more details on that (some of them allready mentioned in the previous answers) #1 my
vanagon is syncro so fuel tank is on the back and i do have
the 12mm outlet like Richard mentioned below. The fuel tank
was cleaned a year ago during the? conversion (i am a new
conversion -only 3500 miles till now) ej25 2001 Legacy auto
trans Euro specs. #2 just
checked my speed sensor with the diagnose device of my
mechanic on the road and realized that the speed that sensor
is reading is aprox 50% higher than the actuall vehicle
speed,. We had 65km and the diagnose reading 100!! which is a
lot more. Not sure if speed sensor fail may cause shut off on
downhills. My speed sensor is attached on the speedometer on
the dash #3 i
always run with the check code #38 (auto trans torque sensor)?
#4 i have cleaned both IAC valve + the throttle position sensor a couple of months ago #5
engine shuts off when press the clutch to shift up but
restarts emidiatelly with the 2nd (unless there is an uphill
after the downhill ,in this case have to use the? ignition)
