Joe Sorry I wasn’t clear. ?The motor pulley is a 2 step V pulley. ?The driven pulley on the countershaft is a 2 step flat pulley. Hope that helps. John

That's normal, a vee belt pulley on the motor and a flat pulley on the countershaft. Both my 1929 drummond and SB clone do that.

Forgot to mention; both the 2 step and 3 step pulleys on the countershaft pulleys are flat.

I have a 5L width(21/32”) belt on my 1960s 9 inch. ?B width (5/8”) will work as well.

Are you talking about the belt from the motor to the countershaft or the belt from the countershaft to the spindle? If the countershaft assembly is mounted to the bench separately from the lathe,

Yer lookin for the pulley size for the " flat pulley on the counter shaft " or the 2 slot pulley on the motor ? I thought the 2 slot motor pulley was in the files section . animal

Another consideration is whether you have a taper attachment or are considering obtaining a taper attachment. My motor/countershaft is too close to the bed and interfers with mounting the taper

??? ??? The belt length is pretty dependent on the placement on the counter shaft . Page 5 of the attached manual shows dimensions of where South Bend decided the countershaft should be from the
