Hi all, Sharing because I know many of us love her stories, and hopefully other authors can provide their ideas as well. Here is the background, It was evil author day sometime this week, bring with it a story called "Harry's Vow, from Zathara01...at least at ao3. Its a fine work, with my asking in the comments what motivates an author to place a work in the evil author pyre. These are stories an author for whatever reason likely does not intend to finish. her wisdom was that she, due to at the time having just completed her child of iron work, not wishing to do the rewrite required. meaning change a detail and ripples lead to reconstructing the source material..which I am unsure is such a bad thing. as I consider though I am wondering if there might be a middle ground between rewriting source material, and retelling source material. I recall many a post here where members are frustrated by works that end up rehashing hp source material, as well as posts complaining about odd leaps that do not make sense characterization wise. So, is it possible in your opinion to meet in the middle? make tiny changes that lead to interesting shifts but avoid major ripples requiring major rewriting of source material? will save my own thoughts after I get your own..and if you are a member of both lists, simply post where most comfortable. Hi All: Does anyone remember the name of the fic where Harry has left magical Britain and married a female shaman. They have two, or maybe three children together. If I remember correctly, Harry works for the ICW, or maybe it’s for the British crown taking down magical threats. Anyway, while away, new legislation has been passed in the Wizengamot and because Harry’s children have shown accidental magic, Ron and the aurors break in, stun Harry’s wife and take the one daughter off to Hogwarts. When Harry returns home, he loses his shit, contacts his boss and an attack on Hogwarts commences. I think Hermione had a lot to do with the new legislation and Hogwarts. That is all I can remember. Hello all, Could someone please help me find a fanfiction where Voldermont take harry as his son. I remember that Nagini sometimes is human and acts like his mother. Part of the story is about his mother being hurt after an attack and he needs some therapy and meets Madam Longbottom and Neville. There's Voldermort sane and loving and I remember one point where the teachers go to talk to Voldermort, though they don't know it's him, about the changes he's making to the school and young Harry is asleep on his chest under a starry blanket. James and Lily may be alive and there may be a twin involved. It was posted on AO3. Can anyone help? CB

It is a word for word copy of Clell65619's story of the same name! So unless Master Tauros is Clell65619 in disguise, is is another ripoff by the same author we were recently warned about, using yet another name (something this person does frequently)! I just do not understand people who think they are getting away with something. With as many people watching out for ripoff artists within this group, I cannot understand why they even try. Anyway, be careful of idiots like this! PS I did not even check the rest of his stories but they also (probably) belong to otherwriters...

Hello everyone, As usual I am posting this a little early, because I wanted to make sure everyone got it by November 11th which is known as Veteran's day in America and is known Armistice or Remembrance Day in other countries. This is a day we honor and remember those who have stood up in the defense of their countries and the people living in them to keep them as safe as possible from those who want to attack their countries and either take them over or completely destroy them. The people I consider worthy of the honor of Veteran's/Armistice day recognition are all members of the Military and the First Responders. They all chose to stand up in defense of their people and knew they were putting their lives at risk when they did it. I feel that those who chose to put their lives at risk to keep us all as safe as possible are worthy of the greatest respect and honor since they chose to do it. I wish to thank all of those who are still alive for the sacrifice they were willing to make to keep us all safe and some of them still are doing so. I pray that God by whatever name you may call him or her by will keep you all safe and that you have a good life with your families and those you served with or are serving with. Also for those reading this message who are currently serving or have family member's currently serving to keep us all as safe as they can, please know that you have the thanks of Connie Green (that's my regular name) for yourself and them. I also pray that God will keep you all safe and well as you serve and after you have retired from the service whether you were a Member of the Military or a First Responder. For those of you like me who have had family member's or friends who served and passed on, I KNOW that they have a place of honor in whatever they consider heaven to be because they were willing to stand up to keep us all safe.
