Veteran's Day message for those who have served and for their famililes

Hello everyone,

As usual I am posting this a little early, because I wanted to make sure everyone got it by November 11th which is known as Veteran's day in America and is known Armistice or Remembrance Day in other countries.

This is a day we honor and remember those who have stood up in the defense of their countries and the people living in them to keep them as safe as possible from those who want to attack their countries and either take them over or completely destroy them. The people I consider worthy of the honor of Veteran's/Armistice day recognition are all members of the Military and the First Responders. They all chose to stand up in defense of their people and knew they were putting their lives at risk when they did it.

I feel that those who chose to put their lives at risk to keep us all as safe as possible are worthy of the greatest respect and honor since they chose to do it. I wish to thank all of those who are still alive for the sacrifice they were willing to make to keep us all safe and some of them still are doing so. I pray that God by whatever name you may call him or her by will keep you all safe and that you have a good life with your families and those you served with or are serving with.

Also for those reading this message who are currently serving or have family member's currently serving to keep us all as safe as they can, please know that you have the thanks of Connie Green (that's my regular name) for yourself and them. I also pray that God will keep you all safe and well as you serve and after you have retired from the service whether you were a Member of the Military or a First Responder.

For those of you like me who have had family member's or friends who served and passed on, I KNOW that they have a place of honor in whatever they consider heaven to be because they were willing to stand up to keep us all safe. I also know that you will one day see them again in that place of honor.

Thank you for your time in reading this message and I hope the prayer below gives you and your Veteran's family members and friends comfort as you read it. I know it did for me.

Have a good day,
Corwalch

Prayer for those who have served:

Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank you today for all of the men and women who have served in our armed forces. We are grateful for their dedication, discipline, faithfulness and courage. From them may we learn the virtues of selfless service, unswerving loyalty to country, the discipline of teamwork for the good of all, obedience to authority and perseverance in difficult and challenging situations.

Bless the families of our veterans for the sacrifices made on the home front when duty called their loved ones away to serve.

Following their military service, give each of our veterans meaningful employment where they can enrich our workplaces and communities with their strong leadership skills, their self discipline and their hearts for service.

We pray that you will provide your care and healing power for our veterans who carry physical and mental wounds from their days of service. And we lift up to your care those families who have lost a member of our armed forces in the line of duty. May your constant presence and help be theirs.

We pray that today we will be able to express to our veterans our gratitude for their service to us. Keep our service men and women strong and determined. As we thank you for them we look forward to the day promised in your Word when our Prince of Peace will rule on earth and when the bearing of arms to protect our citizens will no longer be necessary. We pray in the name of our strong and powerful Savior, Jesus Christ.

Amen.

Beautiful, as always.? Thank you.
