Hm. Great Group. Love 'Sunset' so far. I like the attitude, the humor. Seems that Harry is Super!Harry, but I like the small flaws he has. Even Kal-El had his character flaws, so does Harry. Loved the Ghostbusters quotes. Now patiently waiting for "Ray, when someone asks if you're a God, you say "Yes"! or When someone asks Harry for the upteenth time how bad it's gonna get during the war and he snaps: "Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together - mass hysteria!" Hum, there is something that i am not sure i like, if i am not wrong. By the dark lord will mark him as an equal, does it mean that harry will loses part of his power (at least until Voldemort's death)? I have trouble with harry becoming weak :/ aart from that, a great chapter, for once i wasdn't too stressed :)

SPOILER SPACE JUST IN CASE Okay - that was a good chapter, but I really would like to have seen Harry tell everyone what had been going on with Dumbledore and Snape. Please don't let that get swept under the rug!!! All that Bumblebore has been doing to Harry REALLY needs to come out in the open so that people like Flitwick and McGonagall know the whole truth. I so hope that it comes back to bite him!! I'd love to see Harry get his revenge on both of them. I'll be anxiously awaiting chapter 13!!!

Iirc, you said that SoB was your first HHr piece, so i was wondering what difference is in DA. Is Dumbledore still an evil bastard, and is Ginny extremely powerful and find a soulmate in harry...? If somebody could make a quick summary, i'd be grateful.

As with all things in war there are casualties and as bleak of a picture as you are painting, you are leaving me asking the age-old question; who will survive? He-Who-Is-A-Halfblood is after one thing. POWER! He does not care about blood purity in the least and as such, nobody will be safe. I cannot help but think of Hitler and WW2 when I think of what is coming as it poses a couple questions. 1. Will Toms rein be any different then Hitler's? 2. What will happen to Dumbledore? Somehow, I doubt that he will get his wish to be considered greater then Merlin. In fact, I would assume that Tommy Boy would have a greater remembrance. 3. Will Hogwarts survive? I am curious. Do you have the sequel already outlined? Wonderful story you have going. I just hope that the real life monster stays away from you so we can read this faster. I am also wondering what Arthur is doing. With him living at the office has he any plans for returning the rest of Harry's money. Can you make Ron a Jackass Animagi? He fits the bill to a "T". On another note… Can I convert your stories to HTM and post them here? Each would be in two or three parts depending on size as I like to keep them under a Meg for those on slower computers but they would have selectable Tables of Contents to be able to read the chapters. For Spoiler Space I will say you sure know how to write a rollercoaster. I can't remember the last time I lughed, cried, ranted, and made obscene gestures at the computer so much as I did reading this chapter. What a marvelous piece of work Bob and Alyx. Yes, hate to admit it but a couple of scenes did put tears in my eyes. Between you and Abraxan, I'm not sure but I think it's a plot to ruin my big-tough-rambunctios-guy's-guy image. But that's okay, I'll get my revenge in the end; just you wait! On a lighter note, I wanted to compliment you on your inventive revenge on Ab by using her as a potion ingreient. I laughed heartily throughout that scene. Your drunk Harry was just about the best one I've seen yet with his magic doing odd things and all. OK I'm tossing in the towel here. I have searched high and low on the net trying to find out informaiton about the British Military. Specifically the army, unit designations etc. If I were working with the american military it would be a lot easier, but I couldn't find enough information to work with here. I am far more familar with my own country's military than I am with Britain's. So if someone can answer these questions I would appreciate it. Does the UK have units in division sizes, or corp sized (a corp comprises mutliple divisions) And if so, what do they call them? For example here in the US, there are divisions like 101st Airborne (Screaming Eagles), 7th Cavalery (air Mobile infantry), 5th Armored (Heavy Tank Division) I know there are unit like the Welsh Guards but I have no clue how big that outfit is. I've searched the MOD website for information, but came up empty handed. I have to wonder if the lack of information is part of the post 911 security some countries have put into place. ANd if that is the case I can assure you, I am an author of Fan Fic, not a terrorist... ok I am a barbarian, but not a terrorist. MORE PILLAGING!!! - bob

A bit of background about me: I am a proud and delusional shipper of Harry and Hermione. Now that that is out of the road, I'd like to congratulate you for succeeding so far as to your goal in writing a fiction with a pairing you wouldn't normally do. I find it totaly believable. I'd just like to say, that whilst you don't follow the new canon (HBP) this story isn't AU. The fact that you have taken events from the books and believably written this story is testament to your skills. AU is where you drasticly alter something specificly mentioned in the canon, and as you haven't done that aside from ignoing HBP... Anyway, I'll stop rambling and just congratulate you again on succeeding on accomplishing your goal with this story. Lord Kronos (I won't press for an update, I won't, I won't!)

Given everything Fumbledork has tried and Greasy's hatred of Harry, Are they responsible for the lack of progress on Harry's recovery. I would'nt put it past Bumblebore to order it as a means to control Harry's mobility. Or that Snape would alter any potions meant for Harry to be less than effective just because he could cause Harry pain while appearing to do the right thing. well this was a fun chpt. gotta love the way that Gin has influenced Luna... ya really do... well as long as you aren't on the recieveing end of any of that influence anyway. and considering what Snivarious and the Old Fool did to Harry there at the end, really wished that the payback had been more through... or at least violent, ya know just to satisfy my baser instincts. still as it appears that the Outcasts will be leaveing Briton around Boxing Day(one assumes that's why there's the big rush to get everyone at one place at the same time on that day) perhaps it's for the best. and mentioning the Outcasts leaveing plans, I eagerly await to see just what Harry has planed. eagerly awaiting more.

Rated "M" (Mature) for violence (we are at war, folks) and sexual content (the kids are growing up). And FYI, since I'm tired of answering the "ship" question or hoping new readers will just enjoy the story and watch it develop without worrying about whether this story "ships" their way or not, I'm finally going to post the ships here: Harry/Original Character at first, then Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, Remus/Tonks. "The Time of Destiny" is the sequel to "Refiner's" and is rated "M" for the same reasons "Refiner's" has that rating. "Destiny" is still being written (I'm on chapter 32 at present) and will probably run 35-40 chapters in length, with chapters averaging from 26-50 pages, so it is already far longer than "Refiner's." "Destiny" begins literally minutes after "Refiner's" ends, and covers the summer and Harry's Seventh Year. Harry develops his magical skills, finds out interesting things about himself, snogs a lot with Ginny, plays Quidditch, gets in trouble from time to time (mostly with Voldemort and the DE's) and generally has a "typical" Harry Potter year (at least a "Refiner's Fire" Harry Potter-style year), with a lot of excitement, fun and danger, as well as romance. "Destiny's" ships are Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione and Remus/Tonks.

Hi, thought I'd review here instead of on FF so I can see your response. I still haven't figured out how to over there, but then I'm a slow old handyelf and these here newfangled electronical gizmos tend to make me a little batty. (I heard that smirk) Ah hem, now on with the review. That was bloody brilliant. Such a moving and inspired bit of literature I have seldom scene in the annals of fanficdom. Are you suitibly impressed? have I gotten your attention? Goody, really I just wanted to say that the way you put that chapter together was quite well done. I am greatly enjoying Harry and his attempts to be patient with Dumbdore and Snarvellus, and the way they just keep trying, and he just keeps pushing them out of his way. The Ball was a hoot. Ron, Dean, and Seamus just don't get it, maybe one day... Loved the scene in the rose garden as Draco finally gets a clue. Gotta love Luna and her sweet dottiness. Then again, she is such a lady in the way she deals with attackers. I guess ya gotta wonder who trained those two trolls to look like students. They couldn't possibly be human and be that clueless could they? Ah well, at least the two lovers got back to the dance. Greetings and Salivations I'm just this deranged aussie who does so like his HP fanfic. I also just found this group, despite having read DA from the third chapter when it was posted and obsessively ever since. (Much kudos not only for your writing style, engrossing plots and thematic elements, but also for the speed with which you write, which is far faster than my paltry efforts) I have really been enjoying this story so far and finally thought to ask a few questions: The new Prophecy: THE BASTION OF LIGHT WILL FALL IN THE TIME OF THE BULL… AND THE CHOSEN CHILD MUST FLEE THE ISLE OF MYRDDIN'S BIRTH… DARKNESS WILL ENGULF THE LAND AND THE REALM OF UTHER'S SON WILL BURN…AS LIGHT IS SWALLOWED BY DARK THE DEFENDER MUST WATCH FROM A FAR… THE BASTION OF LIGHT WILL FALL IN THE TIME OF THE BULL…" I was breaking it down, As I understand it, in May, Hogwarts will fall, which is the cue for Harry and Co to flee England (I do note that Scotland wasnt part of Uther's son's realm, so no burnination up there, neither in Ireland, just Lower and central england and wales). Doesnt Harry own lands on the Isle of Wight? or Ireland? Northern Scotland? I'd be amazed if the Potters or Blacks didnt own any in those areas. Or will he be going to another part of the world? I'm all in favour of him heading to Australia till May from Christmas, then heading back to deal with Voldi. Other points: Is it just me or is Bellatrix's arm blown off in diagon alley in far too many fics? This makes about 8 different stories I have read where that happens *grins* Draco/Luna: That has to be the strangest paring I have seen short of the Draco/Squid one I once saw..... and just as wrong. Damm your stories are addictive. I find myself hanging out for my next fix before you publish it. Do the Potter and Black families have seats on the Wizamgamot? If so, how will Harry be treating these? Will he be voting or just proxy his seats off to someone he trusts like Amelia? Monkeys: enough said Narcissa Malfoy: Kind hearted mother who has been cruelly abused, or does she also buy into the whole pure-blood superiority like her sister Bellatrix? Tonks: Will she and Andromeda be added back onto the Black family tapestry with Bellatrix removed? Pants! How are the other Slytherins reacting to this new 'supposedly dark' Harry? Obviously they will do nothing publically, but now he has been moved from 'Pawn of the Headmaster', someone that no Slytherin would ever trust, to unknown agents/quantity. For that matter, what about the ravenclaws and puffs? Or are they sheep like the Gryffs?
