LFF: An HP/SG1 crossover..
Well, it wasn't an SG1 crossover, but a Warcraft, but I recall Elune's Pebble, they were replacing people with golems before they would die. Both by Burnable, first one is MCU but they collect harry's friends before they die and put them in stasis. second one is stargate universe, there is also a crossover of the crossovers where the two harry's meet.? ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI don't know if it is what you are looking for, but Burnable wrote a story called Post-Apocylyptic Potter in something or other, which was actually a crossover with the MCU that had that happening. Then he wrote a crossover with SGU, then he crossed the two crossovers together. On 3/7/2022 2:12 PM, Alex Cherry wrote:

It is "awesome bad" lol.? There are a few more it could be though.? The burnable options have already been mentioned.? There is Harry Potter - Alteran and it's sequel by sashimi.? There is Harry Potter and Satesh's Blunder or Harry Potter and the Alteran gift by r2r4l.? Isis Bane series by althor42. Guardian by blueowl... those are all I can think of for the moment, but rereading Balance started to bring back those other ones to memory, so maybe I'll have some more.

Stargatesg1fan1's stuff is definitely a love it or hate it kind of thing. Guilty pleasure reading if you're not looking for anything "realism" based, since Balance and its related stories are all about a God-like Harry traveling the multiverse, curb stomping bad guys, "fixing" various popular media storylines and collecting a super-massive harem. My biggest gripe is that, due to...feedback...about the sex scenes being a tad repetitive, Stargatesg1fan1 removed any uncensored copies of the story from everywhere it's been posted barring his FB group, replacing them with versions where a fade to black happens when the sexy times start. And the file format the unrated cut is in must be one that my word processor doesn't like, since I try to open it and it's a wall of random symbols with the story text mixed in. I just read one that isn't a Stargate cross (at least, not yet), but has some similarities to the one you described. Harry keeps accumulating people, because he (and they) tend to keep needing last-minute escapes before their deaths, and Harry has acquired the ability to create portals for transportation, but setting a destination can sometimes be a problem. I had trouble getting past the first arc, which is a cross with Silent Hill, because I'm really not much into horror, but the story was more to my taste after that.?It's ?by AthanMortis.
As for recommendations, some other SF crosses I've enjoyed are: - MCU, unfinished. - MCU, complete. - MCU, complete. - MCU, complete. - MCU. Not marked complete, but the author did a final "wrap things up quickly" chapter. - MCU, complete. - Dr. Who, complete. - MCU, unfinished. - Mass Effect, unfinished. - Neon Genesis Evangelion, complete. - Star Wars, unfinished. - Star Wars, complete. - Star Wars, complete. - Stargate SG-1, unfinished. - Stargate SG-1, unfinished. - Stargate SG-1, unfinished. - Stargate SG-1, unfinished. - Superman, complete. Has several sequels, also complete. - X-Men, complete. |

Glad to see someone mentioned Elune's Pebble. TheBeardedOne's Last Mage of Krypton series are okay, if a bit simple. At least they keep up with their spelling and grammar, unlike most FFN posters. Quatermass's Harry Potter and the Blue-Haired Angel seems like it could have gone for a bit longer and it would've improved the fic. Sadly, that seems to be the case for most of their stories: they feel more like a series of snippets than anything else and they post so many new stories that a lot of the more decent offerings get forgotten.

?
That only gets you chapter 1, and not the rest of the fic at
all.:(

Yeah, that's something I've noticed. Archive.org will often get the first page of a story, but seldom any of the following pages. There are other sites that have collected a bunch of old fanfiction stories, but the only one I can think of offhand is ff2ebook.com, which gives me the error message, "Critical Error: Failed to get Fic Infos, please try again later." when trying for this story.
That's the problem with maintaining a database of fanfictions read: as it gets larger, there are going to be stories that you haven't read in longer and longer times. I?really don't want to add a "date story last successfully accessed" field to mine; there are probably too many fields already. Maybe it's time to work on that Python script to automatically update it. :-) wheels |
