Yeah, that's something I've noticed. Archive.org will often get the first page of a story, but seldom any of the following pages. There are other sites that have collected a bunch of old fanfiction stories, but the only one I can think of offhand is ff2ebook.com, which gives me the error message, "Critical Error: Failed to get Fic Infos, please try again later." when trying for this story.
That's the problem with maintaining a database of fanfictions read: as it gets larger, there are going to be stories that you haven't read in longer and longer times. I?really don't want to add a "date story last successfully accessed" field to mine; there are probably too many fields already. Maybe it's time to work on that Python script to automatically update it. :-)
